Probably my favourite clock chimes. You can really feel the history while you’re there.

Can't wait for a new ring to be put in the tower, a 12 + 0 + 6b in B would go nice :)

The tower is on the edge of collapse, no set of bells will be put in unfortunately

@@RingerPeter Yikes, maybe build a campanile for the cathedral. The scenario also goes for Chester cathedral, The cathedral tower was too weak for the bells, so a campanile had to be built for the 12 bells

@@MauveStingerStings There originally was a detached campanile for the cathedral, but this was taken down a long time ago. It was located by the Erpingham Gate. The current central tower is not on the edge of collapse, it would (theoretically) hold a ring of bells but the practicality of it ever becoming a reality is very low, considering there is no intermediate chamber for ringing to take place from. A common myth is that the tower is not strong enough to hold change ringing bells, but this is rarely, if ever, the case. With the height of Norwich Cathedrals spire, a strong wind would put more force on the tower's structure than any ring of bells ever could.

@@MauveStingerStings It will tell us nothing! Norwich Cathedral will never have change ringing bells in the central tower...
