Atelier bundles from playasia are $120+ but what makes it worth it is that all of the DLC is included in em and Atelier games typically have $100+ worth of dlc so they’re totally worth picking up from playasia

I own the 1st 2 games in this video and I love Seven pirates H, I love trying to figure out the best possible stat spread for the girls in the game and their abilities and stats kind of help to figure it out, like Parute has a skill where she deals increased damage with critical hits so it makes sense to put 30% into AGI and 20% into Str and then the rest not so important but basically Hp always gets a high number so you could put the remaining 10% into Def, I’m thoroughly enjoying 7PH

For Grandia HD collection, I think is more expensive probably due to being distributed by Limited Run Games in NA. The normal price for that one was like $54.99 or something like that when they had preorders open. You might still be able to find English playasia versions for a better price than what the NA version escalated to. At least, that's what I think.

First off, congrats on the 25k+ subs! It's totally deserved! 2nd, people that thinks that you're the reason why those games have gone up in price are a bit disillusioned... I know it's hard to predict the market, but in the majority of cases now, if you're patient, Videogames Plus will order some reprints for a bunch of them! I'm always happy when they do because since I live in Canada, I don't have to pay excruciating shipping price (shipping is free) or the import / border fees! I know it's a Switch list, but if you have a PS4 or PS5, some of those games that are insanely pricey, can be bought way cheaper on Playstation. Yes you lose the portability but it's the price to pay to play some of them at a discount! I got Lost Child on PS4 for 20$ last year and I'm glad I did! Those Trails games are just out of control (I've finished Trails of Cold Steel 4 last night and you're so right about how good they are)! Trails of Azure is now going for around 120$ and that game came out 3 months ago! I decided to import it from the UK for 60$ new so the actual MSRP before it even goes higher! Also another way to save money is go the digital route. Yes I also prefer physical copies but when you see Grandia remaster at that price and I saw it go on sale at 30$ digital at one point, I didn't even hesitate! Same thing for Langrisser! Don't listen to the haters, keep these uploads coming lol! Great video and keep up the good work!

It's actually relatively easy to predict the market. Switch versions of most Japanese games and sought after western releases tend to be slightly more expensive (or downright expensive) compared to their other console versions. Diablo 3 (all DLCs included+Ganon skin) Dark Souls 1 Remastered The Witcher 3 Complete Edition Dragon Quest 11 The Elder Scrolls 5 (Link and Hyrulian Shield costumes) Octopath 1 (Physical on Switch ONLY) Well, you get the pattern. Aim for Switch versions of games (especially if they include DLCs for games on the cart with some Nintendo exclusive bonus) and aim for exclusives. When I got Octopath, I knew it would explode in price in the coming years due to it being physical only on Switch, and especially after the announcement of Octopath 2, my grin got to my ears as it was an even better find than I had expected. And well, it was part of the first batch of games for the Switch, so it was relatively "old" by the time I got it. Medium rarity games includes (but not limited to) Daemon x Machina, Astral Chain, Collection of Mana (that game with FF Legend, Secret of Mana, and Trials of Mana SNES edition), and most Nintendo 2nd party games (Fire Emblem and Xenoblade games to name a few). The more rare titles include Ultra Street Fighter 2, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, and a few others the video discussed about. In short, hunt JRPG releases (especially from smaller devs or when they are exclusives), niche genres (Astral Chain is a somewhat old-school Beating Beat em Up in 3D, think God Hand from Capcom, but with a Platinum twist), definitive versions of games that were insanely popular, and games that involves crossovers from multiple sources (not a Switch game, but I got Project x Zone 2 for a mere $40 while it costs nearly $300).

Both Trails games, Zero & Azure are up there in the $80+ range. I ordered Trails to Azure new for the Switch (I already have it digitally on Steam) but GameStop gave me a gutted/opened and POORLY packaged "new" version and honestly, that's not going to pass as a new copy anywhere else so I took that as a loss, lol. If it was factory sealed, Trails to Azure would actually be $102 worth right now. It's absolutely insane. I have some of the other games listed in the video, but for Playstation 4.

Are you looking at current listings for ebay value? Just filter for SOLD listings and you will see what it's actually sold for. All pricecharting does is average ebay sold listings, so looking at eBay's actual list of sold listings (only goes back 90 days) can be more accurate/current. Price charting can be good for going back further than 90 days,, but also misses some sales and can have incorrect listings under a game. So you can check either. Just looking at what people list things for is a Terri le metric. People will list for crazy things. I saw somebody list a bunch of gba games for 2 grand each. Most titles sold on average for 100-150. Crazy.

Definitely love LoH (started late with TitS) but Cold Steel is absolutely great and can absolutely see it being this expensive so I'm just collecting them all on steam (cold steel 1 to 3 had a sale for all 3 at 70 with some DLC). Still have to pick up the recently localized zero and azure (TitS I played on my .....psp...).

uhm most of these are expensive in the US, in Europe most of them are still affordable ...Seven Pirates.. grandia... moero chronicles... have English if u get them from Japan. Code of princess is is expensive everywhere as far as I know... apparently also the best of the bunch with YS VIII. I dunno i don't have it.

The ps4 version of Trails of Cold Steel 4 is also hitting about $80. I wish they would put the rest of the Trails games on the switch.

Attack on Titan is number 2 110$+ the standard edition (even the digital edition is 75$) and the copy you are getting is also most likely to be second hand, with dlc would be even more, they don't release any new copies of the game since years but since the last anime season release as well, the game is gaining more popularity. For every AoT fan a must have PS: Cold Steel is somehow only around 50$ by us (physical copy) 🙈

Yea I believe AoT Switch game have been really expensive for a while now and hasn’t gone down either. I’m quite surprised how well the value has held up to this day though, I guess it’s also because of how popular the anime is.

I have 5 of these games, I don't even play many RPGs. I got my lost child for about £12. Bought it just due to how cheap it was.

Thats funny. I just saw lost child on the eshop sale for like $2 presumably because the game is bad lol

Dude🤦 The lost child is on sale for $5 right now as I'm typing this on Nintendo eShop I get it. This is digital. That is physical. But still...why $170 when it is sitting on my memory card for $5?! it's OK I'll just keep it there & won't delete I know I can't sell a digital game. But if people have it on their memory cards, they don't have to buy the physical version from you. That's my point. Of course I'm talking about playing games of your thing is to buy and collect and keep physical games then that is a while different thing Also, dragon quest builders and the lost child and some other JRPGs... Thank God for my modded PS VITA 😂😬😅 for good sale Catherine full body is on VITA with a full English patch 😂🤩 Sorry for the wall of text this whole swipe typing makes it extremely easy to type and FAST!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the reason Octopath is so expensive is because they didn’t initially print enough copies.

I'm not proud to say that I'm a gamer and I own NONE OF THESE! 😀 ...Well, save Octopath Traveler. Which I have the Limited Edition of (and everyone online called me crazy at the time for getting because I bought it Day 1). That is a real gem. 😊

I own a physical Switch copies of YS VIII and Code of Princess EX. YS isn't something that I bought in the original box, but I'm pretty sure Code of Princess is. Ys VIII's still very good.

Interesting thing is the only ones I don’t have on this list are Dragon Quest Builders and The Lost Child. DBQ doesn’t interest me and I have the PS Vita version of the Lost Child.

huh... I saw code of princess ex selling for like 13 quid one time. And now its junked up in price. Maybe I should start buying games worth less than 20 just in case they rise in value like this.

I got many games on this list and I came after 6 years of collecting physical Switch games to the conclusion that it is probably not worth anymore paying so much money for niche games when you can get all of them for cheap on an eshop sale. In the european eshop The Lost Child is currently for 5 € on sale and it will get delisted tomorrow. I got it for 80 € and it's not even worth it because the game sucks. I mean sure, you only get a license and they can take it away from you but with a proper backup on the PC it should be future proof for decades. What made me change my mind is the SaGa series. I could buy Romancing SaGa 2, 3, Frontier and Ministrel Song and pay over 200 € or I could get all of them for under 50 € on a sale. In the end I get the games because I want to play them and not to invest in something. My best approach is now to get the games as cheap as possible, when there is only a minor price difference I will get the physical version.

The switch feels a lot like the other Nintendo portable consoles that game before, with limited print runs/ sales on certain games, especially niche RPG's/ Puzzle games, which skyrocket in value, with some Game Boy games being absolutely obscene, especially if they came out quite late in the generations of each console.

Square Enix threw a lot of support behind "Octopath Traveler" and produced enough physical copies that seeing it on this list is surprising. OT doesn't have the best sales of all time but it did make money and even has a moderate line of merch which most games do not get.
