I would add Jericho's name again after his WCW deal ended and he signed with The WWE. He was the first former WCW to let his contract expire and sign with WWE. If he had not jumped then, then he might still be thought of as a Cruiserweight in wrestling.

Speaking of women's wrestling...Chyna broke the mold for women! - First & only female who enter the all men's Royal Rumble twice (1999/2000) - First & only female to enter the KOTR qualifying matches twice (1999/2000) - First & only female to hold the #1 contender's spot for the WWF title - First & only female to hold the Intercontinental championship twice (1999/2000) - First woman to headline Raw in a triple threat match against Triple H and The Undertaker for the #1 contender's spot for the WWF title - She headline Raw in a 8 person tag team match with Billy Gunn, Steve Austin & The Rock vs. The Radicalz (Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit) She really was the women's revolution in WWE before it was actually called one. Y'all are not going to pretend that she didn't exist in favor of women like Becky, Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte. In fact, the Four Horsewomen was only created for Charlotte to get notoriety off her father's legacy.

My favorite women match is Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks, at Hell in a Cell Match 2019, for the WWE RAW Women's championship in a Hell in a Cell match. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks proved that two female wrestlers could deliver a fight just as brutal as two men. Even to this day, it's still one of my favorite Hell in a Cell match.

Hogan from AWA to WWF in 1983 after blowing up on the back of Rocky 3 ? Could name quite a few from AWA to WWF in the early to mid 80’s that should be included Also Undertaker from WCW to WWF in 1990 which wasn’t seen as massive at the time but turned out to be one of the biggest signings in WWF/WWE history.

DIVERSE - showing a great deal of variety; very different: I'm fairly confident I heard you call Jon Moxley's matches "diverse" to which I've provided the definition for above. Because the LAST THING IN THE WORLD Jon Moxley's wrestling matches are is diverse. If I had to use a few words to describe Moxley's matches they would be trading while no selling elbows, blood, crowd fighting, count-out & repetitive!

Punk signing with AEW would have absolutely been worth it in the long term had certain people backstage not tried to sabotage him originally. AEW was on a good pace at that time. It actually felt like it was picking up even more steam. But then that all fell apart, and you can blame Punk (who has his share of responsibility), but you can’t just ignore what led to him snapping. Who knows where things would be right now had they all just worked together and put their petty differences aside.

The most Important signing is missing. Brett Hart to WCW! Without that the Montreal Screwjob never happened! But also Brock Lesnar 2x or the Rock for Once/Twice in a Lifetime. But actually when I startet this video I wasn't only expecting wrestler signings, because it was not explict written in the title. I also expected the deal with WCW, ECW, TKO, TV Deals (first weekly shows, raw, Ted Turner, PG...), first wrestlemania (ppv) ...because that really changed the wrestling world.

Where is Aj Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka, and Finn Bálor on here these 4 who made their name on the indies and especially in Japan once signed to WWE made a big impact also it gave WWE a new look too proving they can hire indy stars and showcase them in a great light. Sure Shinsuke and Finn never got the proper treatment on the main roster one might argue same with Asuka but Asuka and Shinsuke did win both Rumbles in 2018 being the first Japanese stars to do so. And with Finn he always was an amazing workhorse and had a HOF career in NXT even being the first ever Universal Champion. Styles probably made the biggest impact with him debuting out of nowhere at the 2016 Royal Rumble and McMahon revealed he had no plans afterwards for Styles yet 8 years on and Styles is still with them. This would also further the relationship between the Japanese wrestling scene and WWE. Because ever since last year to now WWE have been letting their signed stars to go and compete in Japan. This also paved the way for a major cultural shift since the likes of Kairi Sane, Iyo Sky being signed to the WWE and even Kota Ibushi having a stint in NXT for a while

While Ronda Rousey was a nice signing to WWE. Becky was already big before Ronda making her in ring debut also Evolution could've happened without Ronda because she was not only the only headlining woman on that ppv either and Becky could've main evented Wrestlemania without Ronda too because we still never had that Charlotte vs Becky Wrestlemania singles match. Sure Ronda did help but WWE already broke the barrier with women multiple times before that. Also my favourite women's match of all time is Bayley vs Sasha Banks at Takeover Brooklyn 2015

Women should not be headlining PPVs. Especially WrestleMania. WWE only cares about ratings and publicity. As a female wrestling fan for almost 30 years. I am ok with women not headlining PPVs. It's not a big deal to me. When Chyna was wrestling and breaking records, that was something I was proud to see.

For WM35 the only match on the card that could have gone on last instead of Becky/Rhonda/Charlotte would be Seth Rolls vs Brock Lesnar - the rest are all just so-so kind of matches. Lesnar/Rollins went on first at Brock's request because he wanted to leave right after the match. For WM37 the best match on the card for night one is the one that headlined: Belaire vs Banks. The only other possible match would be Lashley vs McIntyre but Bobby Lashley is a charisma vacuum and Drew was a symbol of the pandemic - if it was the end of the night and either one of those two was standing in the corner holding the title above his head it'd probably have been met with moderate applause

CM Punk was not the issue in AEW. It was the "cliq" 2.0 causing Phil issues.
@luchawwl
Ай бұрын
It is / was most likely a combination of both. Phil's ego and the Elite's egos. Was never going to end well. Unfortunately, as the Elite have EVP status in AEW, there was only ever really one outcome ultimately...
@jesseatkinson8956
Ай бұрын
@luchawwl It is not. The fault 100% of the time falls upon those who have the higher power dichotomy, and that was the EVP'S. Phil was an agitation, sure, but nothing he did was out of the norms of wrestling locker rooms. The issue we are STILL seeing, is EVP'S abusing their power ( now they are trying to use their destroyed image as a work ).
@luchawwl
Ай бұрын
@jesseatkinson8956 You do have a point, but let's not forget that Phil has a track record. And... wrestling is wrestling. It's not normal and it's not the real world.
@luchawwl

And as an important aside, I never said that the fault wasn't with the EVP's. Simply said that as they are the EVP's, there was only ever going to be one outcome for Phil.

@luchawwl The human body completely regenerates it's cells in 7 years time. Phil's "track record" is irrelevant. It was a bunch of dudes that were friends with the Jackson's that caused this. It was a problem before. It has been an issue since.

WWE put on an all women’s PPV because there was, rightly, tons of backlash towards the gender discrimination surrounding the previous month’s Saudi show (still men only at the time), and there was this was their way of attempting to make good. They haven’t done a women’s only PPV since, because it didn’t make them any money, so that tells you how seriously they really took gender equality, at that point, at least. WWE is undoubtedly a far better place now that the sex pest is gone, but don’t be fooled. When it comes down to it, they still value capitalism over family morals and equal footing amongst males and females. I’m not saying that’s wrong; it is ultimately, a business, at the end of the day. But when they preach being “one big family”, don’t let allow yourself to be treated like an idiot that doesn’t know any better. You might have been born DURING THE DAY, but you weren’t born YESTERDAY, and no content provider should talk to their consumers as if they were.
