Nice video. I fully agree. Especially about the preservation of public lands and not being a pig when your out. Your right, if we all just pick up a little garbage it will make a HUGE difference. I never understood why people want to trash the place they go to fish. I guess it’s just people being rude and selfish. Thanks for the videos! Stay safe.

Thanks for the vid. It's very refreshing to hear someone talk about being a steward of all things related to our hobby. I'm glad that you talk about it because there aren't enough other anglers doing it. I think it is the most important thing for anyone who fishes

I see myself as an Ambassador of flyfishing, teacher & Steward. I educate the public, remove garbage wherever I find it, don't fish in another guy's spot if they are actively fishing there, share lures & information with new fly fishermen. I am an OTR driver, but I always take my rod with me except past Xmas. From Xmas to Spring its in my house cleaned & hanging from a special coat hanger straightened out relaxing for spring. We, as flyfisherman need more people in our sport NOT less.

What about your preferred ways to organize your sling pack, lumbar pack, lanyard, and/or vest for access and general use on the water? For instance, clenching your hemostats, having nippers on a pulley, and securing your net? Thanks - always helpful videos!

I carry my everything in a small backpack. I’ll have my hemos/nippers in a pocket somewhere and maybe split shot or a small fly puck accessible. If I need to re-tie or change setups I’ll walk over to the bank and set my pack down. It’s a good excuse to take a beer break.

Bowfin, yes!!! I didn't think they were in Colorado waters. I see em' all the time when I go fishing for Pike in the northern part of Indiana (I live more in the center of the state). Bass, bluegill, and crappie are most common around my area. But, this year I just might try flyfishing for walleye, catfish, and gar. Been lurking your vids long enough, time to subscribe. Any podcasts or books or websites you frequent to learn more about your own fishing you like to do or get an idea of what's going on out there in fishing land? Always looking for fun reputable info and folks, especially now when there's plenty of time to read up on things and improve. Thanks Ben. E

I don't watch much fly fishing on KZitem. I feel like there's not a whole lot out there that I'm interested in. I like TrouthuntingNZ's stuff because I think we have more in common than some other guys. I like Alvin Dedeaux's pesonality a lot, too. I do watch the Googans, and Lawson Lindsey, and stuff like that. Also Marling Baits, check that out. For podcasts, it’s Tailer Trash Fly Fishing and Flood Tide.
