Thank you so much, Mey. I really struggle with mock-ups…I don’t know why. You have finally helped!!!Most people don’t go into depth, like you just did. I love the tip of taking the shirt into canva, and getting the shirt color there. I have been trying to do video mock-ups, in Placeit, but for some reason, it won’t let me do it, a screen comes up almost to block me from making one, it’s weird. It’s not our computer, my daughter has a really expensive gaming computer, that is really powerful, so I am not sure why it does that. Anyway, thank you so much for talking about this. The gurus make it look easy, but when you start to get into it, it really isn’t. I too am sick of seeing the same boring mock-ups…..especially on Etsy. If I see those boring boho girls again, I might puke. 😂 I know that is the aesthetic, and I know the gurus push them so hard because they are, either, making and selling those particular mock-ups, or their friends are, and they’re probably getting a kickback for pushing them. I know there is an Etsy aesthetic, but come on, I’m tired of seeing those. I see people selling tons of things with just the printify or printful mock-ups, over there, too, so if your design is original and someone wants it bad enough, they’re going to buy it, whether your mock-up is the boho girl or the printify mock-up. However, people don’t understand why they can’t sell anything after listening to the gurus telling them to basically steal a best selling design, just make a minor change, and you too will be a millionaire. Your design has to be original, people. 😂 🤦♀️

Wow, using Placeit mockups for avoiding simple design is a fantastic tip! And the motion graphics really elevate the video. Everything you explained felt so clear and practical. It's honestly inspiring that you create such full-fledged videos without offering any paid courses. You share real experience which includes your success and failure stories direct from the last seven years' efforts. That level of selflessness is probably why so many of us eagerly await your uploads! Absolutely true, great creative work takes time, and two days for this packed video is amazing. Mey, your smile is infectious, and I wish you all the best! Thanks for another stellar video! Big thumbs up!

This is great! I watched twice. Question if you have a site with a whole bunch of more creative mockups, wouldn't that make it look junky or unserious?

When adding a specific size dimension to a wall mockup, how do you know if the room elements etc are the same aspect of the wall frame you are adding- for example; a sofa or table may be different relative sizes so how would you know how big or small to put your frame- even if it’s the correct ratio, how do you determine the size? Or is it just estimating?

2 questions First is The Unicorn one of yours that I missed? I love it too! And this might be weird but do you have a method to how you cut the neck of your shirts? They always look great!

You mean the Kawaii unicorn? It's from this bundle: meytribe.com/b/IUCEB My method is cutting as close as i can to the collar, under the seam

Did you notice that when you were doing the color codes there were 2 different codes offered? The one in Canva was not the same as the other one (HML color code site you went to), so how do we know which code is best suited to the product?
@MeyTribe

Yup, of course. and even though the numbers were different- they were almost identical. If you run both of them the shirt will look almost the same. Pick based on what looks closest to the mockup image,. but again, in this case, these colors were almost identical.

The difference is probably because one is for the pixel display screen and one is for the actual printing paint/dye and they can’t always produce the exact same color of the printing dye on the screen and vice versa.

Tip: Every POD service company like Printful, Printify, Gelato etc. is displaying the HEX color code of their apparel (i.e. #1C7b54) alongside their color variants. Just hover over the variant picker. No need to get the color via a color picker which most of the time is somewhat inaccurate.

Please and thank you: was the wall art mockup website you referenced? I can’t quite discern its name from your screen captures. Adjacently, what is the POD fulfillment company you prefer for best quality and highest profit margin? Printify and Printful cannot be the best options out there.🤑 Thanks for your helpful videos, Mey!

Canvy It’s also written in the description with a video sharing more how to use it. As for the best supplier.. I wouldn’t say printify, made a whole video on why I don’t recommend them about 2 weeks ago. And I love printful. To me they are the best option, it’s why I sell printful products. Sorry I can’t give you a different answer

Thanks so much Mey! I think the biggest challenge I have with the mockups (on Placeit) is finding the right product. Easy enough to find the B+C 3001, but I want a mock up with an adult wearing the 3001 and a child wearing the 3001T and NOT with a Christmas, camping or fishing background... lol! Also, several of my designs are repeat patterns and getting those onto a mockup of cloth napkins or blankets, etc, has proven to be a challenge. But - you've given me several good ideas! Thanks!!
