The young man's coin that he sent you and hearing his letter put a grin on my face that had to go ear to ear. I love when kids are interested in coin collecting. They are our future and it's great to know they are taking up the hobby early. Better luck with grades next time and great video.

Daniel, your marble story touched my heart. I am six years older than my brother and we were also raised in church. One day my church was having a food drive. My brother didn't have any food to donate, but he had saved every penny he had ever gotten at that time - I think he was 7 or 8. He took his entire coin bank to our preacher and donated his change to the food drive. It was the most selfless thing I had ever seen from any member of our church at that time. You, my kind man, have the same heart as my brother and that is very rare. Love your videos!

Brother I mentor a local Boy Scout Troop here in my hometown. It really is a great experience. These kids are truly interested in our hobby. Always asking question not only on value but about the history that goes behind it. It truly gives this old guy hope for the future. I help them get ready for their merit badges. They truly are great kids. Thanks for the videos. Some of my guys truly like your videos and instructions. We'll I'm out but still having much more hope for our youth. God Bless us everyone.

Love how ya lift up a 12 year old. When I started collecting coins as a youngster about 40 years ago, the local dealer was very unpleasant and treated me like an idiot. All I needed was some coaching, which he did by chastizing me. Somehow, he is still in business, but I havent stepped foot in there in 20 years. Wish we had more like you in my hood!

What a great video and even greater story about the young man. I started collecting when I was ten. Unfortunately, the local coin dealer was a man named, Engelhart (long dead), who only dealt with high-end clients and just shooed young people like me away (his claim to fame was selling one of the 1894-S dimes for the amazing price of $100,000 back in 1968). I wish there had been a coin dealer like you when I was growing up! Kudos to you and your KZitem channel for showing us all that there is more to life than just collecting coins. Cheers.

Thanks Daniel. That's really neat you and young collector Thomas have a rapport. Young collectors are the hobby's future. Love the reveals. I was thinking ahead and hoping you would show the 35 AU58 Peace along side the 25 S MS62. That AU58 should have cracked the MS grade IMO. It's a clean looking coin. The 26 MS62 should have gone to a 63 as you mentioned. AI for more stable grading. Send a few more boxes in ! I love the reveals and your thoughts. Your teaching moments are priceless.

Your forum is extremely useful and resourceful as well, even though they're beaten down by 500 people not following the rules every day. I'm 47 years old and when I was a teenager I found a steal cent in my change. I thought it was a silver penny. I didn't know any better. I tried to look up silver penny but I couldn't find anything on my silver penny. Well first there not penny's so no wonder I couldn't find anything. I thought in my mind I had a rare silver penny worth millions of dollars 🤭🤭. Over time I lost my steal cent, I don't know where but it wasn't worth the millions anyway. As I got older, and learned a little about coins, and realized what I had, I thought it was funny as heck how a young boys imagination can run wild at times.🤣🤣🤣

I was also surprised by my PCGS submission when I received the Copper 1oz 35th anniversary quarterly special and the gold box. They actually sell for around $100-$150 on Ebay. I wanted to do a funny experiment and submit a PCGS 35th anniversary copper 1oz round and silver 1oz round to NGC and see if they actually grade it. To me that would be a funny conversation piece at a coin shop or coin show. Having a NGC slabbed PCGS coin. I wonder if NGC would actually slab it or if they would send it back UNC details with just the label.

At least on the upside of your SLQ a AU 58 is better to most collectors than having a ms 60-62, same with the Peace dollar. Better to have the very top of AU than the bottom of MS.

As always, a very nice video! If I was at the shop I'd buy those 58s...Not even my series! One of the problems with grading at P and N is that they may "flunk" coins and hit them for details or grade numbers, but then comparisons to other coins in slabs really show badly - and I am talking about coins that I do not own or have an interest in.
@markng6435

you probably got a grader who has a been day or got up on the wrong side of the bed. Cause that AU 58 looks more like a 63. So dam picky. PCGS can be over grade lots of the coin and also undergrade other coins. That is why lots of the older holder by PCGS are so nice complared to the current holder
