@@thatguyonabicycleofconsurv3908 It all depends on how a person wants to do it yes? In the 1970th many people traveled even during the Vietnam war which is dangerous, today too can be dangerous in some parts of the World. Back then people chatted among themselves about the experiences they had today we are broadcasting it all over the social media. The biggest motivator is also making money by filming others about their travels and experiences. KZitem brought incentives to motivate people to share their experiences. Nora Dunn's perspectives about travel have encouraged and inspired me to pursue this kind of lifestyle. I feel like I don't belong to an organization or a company and just remain as an employee for the rest of my life. I consider myself a free soul who wants to experience the world. I'm building the foundations of my plan to pursue an online career and save up before I start traveling. My first destination would be Southeast Asia since this is the region where my country, the Philippines, belongs, and explore other countries either at the end of this year or the first quarter of next year. And, who knows, I might find opportunities in Latin America or other parts of Asia or Europe. Thank you so much, Exploring Alternatives, for your insightful videos! Why have I just met you now? :)

If you want to travel to a country that requires visas then send their embassy an e mail to ask how they are doing visas lately. Many countries have visa waivers these days. Its phenomenal how you have structured the video and clarified so many things! However I would like to add something, being an Indian we have to give interview to get visa(which is a toiling process and very difficult to get especially if you are young, not financially strong or single) to whole Europe, most of Americas, New Zealand, Australia and many other beautiful countries. This turns out to be the first biggest hurdle in any kind of travelling that we would want to do. And secondly, Indian Rupee is depreciating everyday so how much ever hard we work to have enough to start travelling will not be enough.

Nice! I'm at the 10-year mark and, while I've been to a whole lot less countries than Nora, we share the slomad (slow nomad) lifestyle. Different than her, I started with practically no money and lived hand-to-mouth most of the time. Also different, I rent with locals where I go and thus avoid "gringo" prices. Most countries in the world - including most European ones - are quite cheap to live in, if you live like a local. My biggest lesson has been that low cost of living can coexist with high quality of life (and I don't mean material things). After a decade, though, I'm calling it quits cause, as I get older, other aspects of life are becoming more important.

Wow, it is a dream for me too to travel like that, exploring the cultures and living for some time in each place, God bless you and you are an inspiration :)

Others are HelpX or Workaway. I had some really great experiences but also some bad ones. So be very careful from time to time. Unfortunately some hosts really exploit people

I love you speaking about similarities and unity between people. That is the message I hope to spread! Great Video Nora, so inspirational! Can you tell me more about the airmiles that you can earn without travel? I can't find much info about that myself. Thank you!

I really agree to the fact that all human beings are the same, and everyone wants the same out of life.

it takes a real courage to decide to travel alone, leave everything behind you, family, work, maybe your boyfriend /girlfriend and decide for once and for all to do this without any fright. i'm a traveller my self, i've been around the world but into another phase of mode. I organised tours within friends , do all the researching, flights, accomodations, , pick up service , tours and local guide in the country were visiting , even resto or places to whined up later. This made me travel for free too. The thought of leaving everything behind... that's what i still need to decide soon as responsibilities back home i s prime too.Who knows? even if i'm in my early 60's still i can do it .
