For all the Germans (not limited to) watch Jonathan's videos where he prepares 60kcal brraf/Toast there is a great protein sandwich toast from Harry's. It slightly higher in Kcal (87) but has 7.5g of protein per slice. It is my go-to toast. So awesome. I get it at Edeka and Kaufland. Unfortunately, not all stores of these do have them and they are often sold out. I think REWE should have them as well. Not sure though. (sorry for posting this on multiple videos)

French toast tip: leave the bread out overnight so it can dry out a bit. It’ll soak up the egg mixture better and create a firmer final product. This is a nod to the original French recipe (“pain perdu”, or “lost bread”), which was created as a way to rescue homemade bread that was on its way to going stale.

100% agree mate! There's no reason why anybody in this world should be promoting a 1200 calories diet, NOBODY should be. Imagine someone who's got an ED or struggles with their body watching this.. it just set's a bad example to not only the youth but everybody. People are quick to promote this type of diet, but when someone binge eats that shit gets exploited. I'm not saying binge eating's fine because it's not, but if binge eaters are called out, so should these people too. Gotta believe the 'fitness guru's' though right!!

Oh, it’s not impossible. Far from it. I’m currently consuming @ 400-600 calories daily of pea protein in water. That’s it. I noticed I am sleeping, uninterrupted, for the first time in DECADES, waking refreshed and not getting lethargic throughout the day. This is not a permanent lifestyle change, but a reset to allow me to then build an intelligent keto lifestyle. In May of 2017, my heart malfunctioned, and I nearly died as my internal organs shut down. This was due to my lifetime of unhealthy eating and my career as an OTR truck driver. Basically, I was told I was going to die, end of story, and I’d given up. Then, last month, I was diagnosed as diabetic. That news was the deciding factor that I needed to stop fooling around and take my health far more seriously. I go back for an update in mid August. I’m looking forward to seeing just how much weight has come off and how my blood sugar has been lowered, as well. Gone are the carbs, save for those my body makes itself and, as mentioned earlier, so is the sense of lethargy that’s plagued me for over 30 years. I can’t exercise the way I’d like, due to the congestive heart failure. I’m hoping to see some improvement in my heart health, too. As for what I’m experiencing right now, though, I expected to lose some weight, initially, then see it gradually taper off, but just a week in and the weight loss was increasing as my energy levels exploded. I feel confident I can build on this to regain some semblance of a normal life again. I’m not giving up on myself anymore.

Idk, personally I think for an adult male, 1200 calories daily is dangerously low! An adult male's Basal metabolic rate alone requires 1800 calories of energy just to keep you alive! For fat loss I found eating 2500 calories was ideal. My doctor warned that it was unhealthy long term for anybody to consume less than 1800 calories daily. I work a highly active job that involves 30 km of walking each day. My calories burned by physical activity throughout the day is around 1700. Add the 1800 calorie BMR for a total of 3500 calories per day, so my eating of only 2500 is a deficit of 1000 calories. I cannot see how it is possible to be active, work out and live off less than 2000 calories without seriously jeopardizing your long term health. Eating just 1300 calories only per day would lead to serious organ failure and irreversible cellular degeneration in a matter of only weeks to months. You can actually lose weight sleeping or sitting still on less than 1800 calories eaten per day! To build muscle mass, you need a LOT more calories than that!

The content is useful and full of great ideas, but the premise of being on a 1200 calorie diet isn't a great one. There are instances where this might be a good idea, perhaps you need to lose weight quick or maybe suffering hypertension (though I'd advise Keto for that), I'd be inclined to get more exercise in and walking and have a higher caloric intake than 1200. Certainly anyone following a 1200 calorie diet likely needs supplementation alongside it.

Aye what’s the carbs and fat macros for each meal
@p0qui6669
3 жыл бұрын
those are not important as long as you hit your protein intake and stay in a calorie deficit. you can adjust the carbs and fats however you want to provide you with enough energy throughout the day. personally i thrive off a higher carb diet but i know ppl who do better with higher fat intake. it the end carbs and fats won’t effect your weight loss as long as you stay in a deficit so that your body goes to your fat storage for energy. eat protein so that you can feel sustained and to also optimize muscle growth. ofc weight training helps rise your metabolism and grow muscle, drinking 80oz of water a day (minimum). and try to get in vitamins through eating fruits, veggies, and dietary fibers, and you can even take supplements for vitamins. in the end if you are trying to be extremely strict with the carb and fat macros its becomes very difficult to sustain that lifestyle and you may end up cheating just bc you went over carbs and didn’t hit you fats for the day ( i know from experience) that you should just adapt your diet to something that works with your everyday lifestyle so the progression is sustainable long term 👍

He said many times that he is NOT on a 1200 calorie diet. He is simply just giving us ideas on low calorie meals we can add to our repertoire. And he is not really making “French toast”. He didn’t add cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. It’s more of a “savory” bread thing going on. I think it looks delish. I would make it but I’m plant based and Just Egg isn’t as calorie friendly as regular egg whites.
