Install the sleeves 0.5 mm taller than the deck of the block. Redesign the block and cylinder bolt holes to accommodate larger, stronger head bolts. BME aluminum rods for the win. Much respect for running aluminum rods, definitely more frequency of maintenance than steel/titanium. Use those big V8 engines and use half . Two for one engine block. Don't listen to me. the last sentences are jokes. 😂 stay blessed, awesome coverage, Boss Taz (my bad, i meant, Boss Andre)🤙🏽👍🏼

Probably still not happy about it there but until you break out you haven't done anything wrong yet. The rules for safety in roll racing are more relaxed however for better or worse - Taz.

I'm building an EVO1 7-bolt right now. ARP supplies washers for the their 8740 head studs that are smaller than the 7/8 dia OEM ones. I'm going to fit the maximum diameter washer, about 0.980. From my math the stud isn't the limiting factor in holding down the head, it's the aluminum of the head under the washer. I wonder how much stud stretch occurs compared to head flex and how each contributes to pressurizing the coolant jacket.

He does but sadly she's engineless as that was sold some years ago. We do have the parts to build one for it, had hoped 2023 but it's been pushed back a fair bit by the FJ40. It will never race for a world record again but Andre does want to do a few passes in it again at some stage and we'll film some of that for sure at the time 😎 - Taz.

Would have liked to have heard what sort of cam lift and duration he's running, LSA, and advance or retard on intake and exhaust. What sort of spring pressure that takes on the seat and nose, TI or SS valves, single or duel springs. That's probably all the really secret stuff he wouldn't give away though. Also if he's logging exhaust pressure in some way and the ratio to boost.

i don't understand why it's being said a car is not setup for drag racing or roll racing, when technically the only difference is launching/acceleration point. both has to build boost, upgrade gearbox etc. Tuning shouldn't be what differentiates from a roll/drag car.
