Thanks Mr Electron for sharing your knowledge. It is appreciated. Question. When Winding a Coil, the Wires shouldn't Cross One Another. Right? I mean the Wires should follow a Uniform Rout without one Wire over the other? Also, why did you not use KAPTON TAPE or maybe FIBER GLASS TAPES rather than the low Melt Plastic like the PVC or HDP you used to Wrap the Coil with? Just asking. You also didn't discus the Wire Coatings and which Coated Wire would be best to Wind a Coil with. The Size of the Wires? What's the size best for Voltage and Amperage? Maybe you could cover this soon? Is that Gap you made. Is that a Spark Gap? Or just to Insulate? Thanks for the upload

CORRECT ! There are a few reasons why i did the winding like this and used a thicker bore size plastic winding holder : I want to calculate the output power difference (efficiency) b/w fully proper or little improper ie. winding crossover , thicker plastic bore type. Also i want to find out the change in output efficiency if i wind the coil directly on ferrite core instead of the plastic holder which i think would be most efficient. As for the kapton, tape & fiber glass, personally i don't think that they make much of a difference. Also, the sheet that i used was electric grade polyester film that is designed to withstand temperature range of -70°C to 150°C and i don't think that more temperature than that is needed. Winding details are present in the video except for the insulation which is not the priority here because we are working here on low voltage and high current. That's not spark gap, i will cover it in one of my upcoming videos.

@Mr Electron is it possible to "step down" the input voltage of a Inverter yet maintain the output voltage, e.g 48v to 12v yet still have 120v output? I have a 48v battery set up and want to change it to 12v, but my Inverter is 48v(dc) to 120v(ac). Is this possible to change the 48v to 12v or do I just have to buy a 12v Inverter? I hope that makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated! And thanks for you channel and all your great video's.

Can you please run a test I mean the output of a solar panel running into a PWM charge controller, then let's observe the amperage Then repeat the process with this inductor (Solar panel output running through the inductor) before going into the PWM charge controller. Thanks

Not perfect the aim of the project must be above 60Amperes at least as super chargers support 60-100 Amps

Another approach could be to lower the voltage further down to 3 V DC
