@@softwashscience yes I do 👍 I’m putting the box together now and will be dropping videos on it very soon. Plumbing the 3/4 dual battery 12 volt system up as we speak. There has been lots and lots of people interested but it seems everyone tries to keep it “TOP SECRET” and that’s why there has not been many videos on it yet. I am going to explain that in my videos also because people are curious to see it but everyone is also keeping them pretty private when in reality the public needs to see and be able to touch the product and use it. And purchase it. So I am putting it together now and as soon as it’s ready I will launch it 🚀 I’m gonna be running it by itself not with a pressure washer combined because not everyone wants it that way. They would rather just run it by UPGRADING their own existing 12 volt systems or adding this as a 12 volt system. When it’s ready I’ll launch it on all my platforms for the world to see. Thanks

My wife is a dog groomer accustomed to city water pressure and flow rate. She's new to mobile grooming. Our current system is better than most mobile groomers, but it's still not good enough. She needs better GPM + PSI. She will only use shower setting on any standard garden nozzle (there's no changing her mind). Currently running (2x) 12v shurflo 4008 pumps (3gpm/55psi shut off), (2x) accumulators. One line goes straight back (w/ ball valve), the other passes through a ventless propane water heater (1.6gpm/120max psi). 1/2" PEX the whole way (4' vertical priming, 16' total distance). Both lines come together using a Y mixer washing machine hose (3/4") and into a flexible line (1/2") and nozzle (garden hose adaptor). I assume the problem is water heater output doesn't match what the pump is capable of. Likewise for running 1/2"pex vs. 3/4"pex. NVM ALL THAT..... How would you set up a dog washing trailer to match the flow and pressure coming from the city.
@softwashscience
2 жыл бұрын
I would buy a 6gpm or 7 gpm pump 70 to 100 psi. Upsize your lines if you feel like you need to but bringing 2 1/2” lines into a 3/4 should be plenty but I think pex lines are measured by the OD and not the ID so it might not be even a true 1/2”. Also the ball valves and y mixer and all of that I would make sure your valves have a large orifice and basically just figure out where or if you have any restrictions in your system holding you up. Could also be the nozzle your using is restrictive. Also city water is always 60 to 80 psi and flow typically is 8 to 12 gallons a minute. Bigger lines, bigger pumps, better valves maybe like I said and better sprayer. Shower nozzle is fine just make sure its a good one. Also see if you can disconnect somehow and test the ammount of flow you get from the water heater and see if thats the issue. If it was an issue that pump would sound a little different than the other one you would hear it staining more. In the short term something to try would be adjusting the screw on the bottom of the pump. Most pumps its a Phillips head or an allen head and if you crank it like your tightening it that should increase the pumps pressure setting / shut off psi. See if you can crank both pumps up and that might fix the problem but I would say your going to want bigger pumps eventually.

@@1stFlyingeagle in my opinion, you can run half-inch if you’re only running 200 feet of hose and you’re not gonna really have any problem. If you run 5/8” and you’re only running 200 feet. I dare bet you it’s going to spray better than a few run 3/4”. Your pump outlets say they are three-quarter inch but if you actually look at the ID, they are really not. I know at my house. I run all sorts of different hoses to water my grass and I can run like 50 foot of 3/4 and then the rest like 100 foot of 5/8 And it kind of sprays like crap off my well pump. But if I run just 150 foot of all 5/8 it sprays way better at the end. It actually hurts the performance when you go from small to big then back to small. Bottom line is when you go much longer than 230 feet or so it starts to really lose performance. I have about 270 feet on the real that I run now but I only use it for roof cleaning and I never like when I run out of hose, so I make it work and it’s set up as best as it can be for what it is.

On a very very rare occasion I will like if I wash a shed or something. Outside of a few pumps that exist a 12v can’t give professional results. You need about 150 to 300 psi and some large volume to rinse correctly. Even my 5.6 gpm can’t rinse some areas correctly. Vinyl houses here and the Lichen we get here needs big water droplet’s to come off. I see people just simply putting water on the siding and think thats rinsing and if they brought their rig to the jobs in my area they would be in for a rude awakening. I treat siding with my 8gpm and rinse with it too. 12v is mainly for roofs, concrete and that high % sh stuff.

The % is = to the the exact % of SH strength that will make surface contact. If you look wide open is 6%. The values are based on an 11% sodium hypochlorite concentrate. Downstream mix I pull from a different source and that goes directly into my injector about 12:1. For wood cleaning thats a different animal and I Approach would Cleaning different than anyone else so I can make some recommendations but it’s not as simple as just a percentage it’s an entire process no matter what chemicals you choose to use.

Also I noticed I used to crack the other valves often and these take the abuse and keep on rolling, unless an f150 rolls over it (see late night video lol). Just try some out let me know.

I keep having the problem where my fuses will blow several times a day unless I jump the terminals. I know that's dangerous for the system, but I don't understand why, when it's wired simply and plumbed simply that it keeps blowing fuses. Do you have any suggestions?
@softwashscience
4 жыл бұрын
Mark Dadian step up your fuse a bit and make sure you have a nice strong battery. Could also be you need more air flow to keep the pump cool.

Increase the wire size to the pump. 12 gauge minimum. 30 amp fuse for a 5gpm pump.

Powerful Improvements gen 3 skid. Hours oh man I couldn’t even guess. I have used it so much I used to use it to transfer Sh from drums and I do lots of testing at night with it. If I had to make a random guess I would say 1,500- 1,800.

Powerful Improvements thank you sir! Fyi you can get a pump just like mine and it will bolt right in they swap out in 15 minutes and the wiring is just two plug connects so nothing difficult. Save your pennies from your first couple jobs and get the proportioner, I didn’t buy mine with the proportioner either but got one after the first job or two and never looked back.

I just built my 12 volt system. I can’t get it to prime and hold pressure. After hearing you talk about the hose length, that got me thinking. I have 1/2 300 feet of hose on my reel. I wonder if the length of my hose is the issue. I have a Delavan 5.0 GPM 70 PSI. Should I cut my hose to 250? to get it to prime and hose pressure.
@softwashscience
4 жыл бұрын
Jason Cornett no you should put a 3 way 1/2” banjo ball valve on the hose reel inlet. So the line going into your hose reel will instead go into the bottom of the 3 way. Then the one end of the ball valve goes into the hose reel swivel where the line was previously. Then the other side of the 3 way you installed put a short whip line like 10 to 15 feet and put a ball valve on the end of that line, I got a gas station style banjo valve and nozzle on my whip line. Then with all this installed you can select to either take the outgoing fluid from the pump and go to either the hose reel and into your 300’ or turn it and go to the short whip line. Turn the valve to the whip line and the short line will allow you to easily prime the pump. When its primed shut the whip line ball valve then hit your 3 way towards your hose reel with the 300’ open your ball valve on the end of your 300’ spray hose and the air will clear and you got liquid so have fun and go make money.

Josh, thanks for helping everyone with your endless wisdom, seriously I've learned a ton from your videos the SS barb you're using to connect the ball valve at the end of the hose, I think I got the same ones but my question is it seems like there is a dead head in there and I'm worried about losing flow connecting to my hose reel. trying to keep everything 1/2", thanks again

It a holding tank for pressure so it stores pressure and helps to prevent rapid pump cycling when you want to use different tips. Without one your at risk of killing the pump unless you use the correct tips. In short it allows you more versatility for spraying.
