I enjoyed stories of all ur guests thus far, hassan.. bt, my 2 cents opinion.. u guys want to see urselves as ‘renewed, reborn ppl’ whom had positively rebuilt ur lives, yes? Hence, i thk it’s nicer & more real actually to address one another by ur birth names. Panggilan nama yg dilahirkan tu jugak adalah ibarat doa. Nama nick zaman jahiliah tu adalah nama panggilan yg some renewed & rebuilt individuals wldnt want to be related to & some, wldnt want to even be reminded of. Id say dat it’s best to let those names be history that most wldnt want a repeat of as grown, mature adults. Those nicks moments are a ‘phase’ all of u went thru back in d day; somethg inshaAllah nobody wants to physically revisit. So, y do we retain nick names during those times if we arent proud of it & all related to it, right? Eg; I feel that if anyone were to call u by ur nick & u correct them; “hassan. call me hassan pls..” it actually shows ppl that u mean business; that u actually are dead serious abt ur life transformation. At d same time, without realising, uv actually earned d extra respect u indirectly asked for when u initially corrected them to call u by ur gd name. Maaf for this opinion of mine. As a muslim malay, im just so proud & grateful to hv seen u guys reformed & rebuilt. I juz hope all our muslim brothers (ex-offenders) be guided thru all ur journey. More success to u, dear brother - along with ur beloved wife & family. Allahumma amin.
