FANTASTIC VID! I LOVE YOUR ACCENT!!! PS. Creative Tip: I am a beginner with an inexpensive tripod but wanted to buy a wheel base for it. The price was outrageous so I quickly solved the problem by pulling the caps off the base of the legs, widened the tubing to fit a set of wheels I already had (just a few millimeters at most) and used Poly Clay (small plastic beads you pour into hot water which make a clear, pliable dough you can shape - which hardens back into hard plastic once it cools). I added a small dab of E700 metal glue into each hollow leg opening and shoved the arm of the wheel (wrapped in plastic clay) DIRECTLY into the tripod legs!!! 👍👍👍👍👍😉 It is not near as creative as your many inventive ideas but it is a very inexpensive mod that works like a charm! Cheers ~ Meg’

@@justindunlap1235 - *Great! And since then, I actually found base/end caps that fit into the tube and allow the wheels to pop in perfectly! 👍 The wheels are about the same price on Amazon but you might want to check out **aliexpress.com** for the end caps. If they don’t pull up in search, let me know here and I’ll get you the exact name/term I used to find it/them.* 😉

Comment and upvote to share the info. 1 store your tripod with everything loose so if it falls, it doesn't crack something 2 don't stand it up without legs spread 3 to carry, lock the tripod head and close the legs 4 extend your tripod slightly to stick your hand through 5 first extend the bottom legs because it's easier to extend the top when shooting 6 close your legs before you extend 7 add weight to bottom to make study 8 if you want your tripod level then the bubble in the level should face the leg that has yet to be extended. extend that and your tripod is perfect. 9 make sure to balance your tripod on top with the middle of the camera weight by having a loose tilt axis. 10 flip the tripod handle pointing up so it fits on top of your shoulder so you can get close to the screen 11 practice your pan and tilt smoothness on a new tripod 12 if you make your tripod totally loose, it mimics the look of handheld action footage but with complete control on a longer lens 13 you can use a tripod as a slider if you have it on 2 legs

Great tips! I use many of them my self, but I definitly picked up some new once too! I often use fishing wire connected to the tripod to hold a coin for mounting the camera to the quick release plate. That way I always has it ready and I don''t have to search my pockets for a coin :-)

AMAZING tips and VERY important ones. I never heard most of them anywhere! Many many thanks! This is a video that I willl watch it very often ;) One thing I'd never heard anywhere is a way to use the camera vertically without the L-Plate (having a Benro S4 video head). Somehow, I found out (I believe that it was by chance) that if I unscrew the plate from the camera's normal position and then rotate it 90º to screw it back again sideways, by rotating the tilt head to it's maximum position - ET VOILÀ - portrait mode! I wonder if there's a better trick... Happy birthday and have a good vacation, Lorenzo.

Another tip for you. You can use a tripod like a monopod by simply extending one leg. It gives you some support but allows you to move quickly between positions without needing to re-level the tripod. Great for run-and-gun stuff.

Hello Jordy, adorama is indeed a very good website and I bought my new camera from them, but because I live in Belgium I suddenly got a bill of € 240 import costs a week later. because you also live in belgium (I think) you probably have that too, so why didn’t you mention it? Ik weet ook niet waarom ik dit in het Engels heb geschreven maar voor de rest super goed bezig!
@CinecomCrew

Import duties have nothing to do with the store you buy from, it are (stupid) country laws. If you buy from outside the EU, you essentially don't pay any VAT (21% in Belgium). It's mostly that what you pay upon import. Since I have a VAT ID from my business I can recover about 90% of the import charges, so for me it doesn't matter where I buy my equipment from. PS: Bedankt :-)

OMG I was preaching at my old job at a new station to extend the lower legs first and got so much friction back for it. I told them it made it easier to start out at around a level for a sitting subject but then when you extended the top it should give you the hight for a standing interview or shot depending on the subjects hight.
@CinecomCrew

I always extend the lower legs too first, much more convenient :-) Sturdier tripods won't wiggle when doing this.
