I always like watching the teardrop and smaller trailer channels, it makes you get out and experience nature. You just don't get that with those massive RVs.

This has been very helpful! We just bought a 5x8 teardrop after owning a 38 ft 5th wheel toy hauler for over 20 years. We got spoiled with the monstrosity of a trailer with everything available but to me it wasn’t camping. I enjoy your channel and hope you make more videos!

@@HighwaytoHoeftland do you use any apps to find dispersed camping or reviews on a variety of spots (dispersed, BLM, etc)? We downloaded Campendium…haven’t used it yet but I’m always open to find out how everyone else finds spots. We’re in North Dakota but I would rather try other states for longer trips other than a 2-3 quick camping. My brother and his family live in Washington and someday I would like to head out that way then work our way down through Oregon to SF Bay Area where other family live. That would be the camping trip for the books! 😃. Anyway! Looking forward to more content!

Love the water views and I was thinking maybe Teddy could be considered one of the 13 ways to stay warm 😂 Nothing like a doggy to snuggle with for those cold camping days ❤

Nice video to take notes on. One thing that we use at our campsite to keep warm outside is our tabletop propane heater. We can set it on the picnic table when we’re eating or put it on the ground after the campfire has died down at night or first thing in the morning with breakfast… instant heat 😎👍🏼… And as far as melting ice problems in your ice chest, we freeze water bottles and lay them down in the ice chest. That way we don’t have water in the bottom of the ice chest getting everything wet.

Hi David, a tabletop propane heater is an excellent suggestion! Thank you for that great idea. We keep forgetting about the water bottles in the ice cooler. We'll try that next time. Thanks again and happy weekend!

Hi! So happy we found your channel. Love seeing all the teardrop stuff. We also camp in a teardrop trailer here in Oregon. We absolutely love it. Our favorite 3 additions to ours have been the Joolca, the arb add-a-room, and the Newair! Best investments! We also found these ice packs from Arctic ice. The purple one helped immensely for keeping our ice lasting longer before we got the Newair cooler. We love checking out new items for our teardrop adventures and thought I’d share. I look forward to more videos.

I use that same Lasko heater in my teardrop with my Ecoflow Delta. It warms it up nicely just by running it for 15-20 minutes at a time. I don't use it while I'm sleeping. Wool socks and a hat keep me pretty warm. Your Teddy is so adorable!

@@HighwaytoHoeftland I really like it! I have the 1300. It's pretty heavy, though. I think it weighs 40 lbs. One of the reasons I like it is that you can use any brand solar panels with it. They don't have proprietary connectors like the Jackery. And you can use it while it's charging. It charges really fast especially if it's charging from 110 outlet. It takes a little over an hour. It also keeps its charge. If I pull it out of the closet after 3 months it is still fully charged. Happy camping! I'll be watching your future videos! Oregon is so pretty!

The wool blanket and socks are a great idea! We've been messing around with a diesel heater, but didn't get it dialed in last winter. Just took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly, so maybe next time we take the teardrop out it will keep us warm. 🙌🏼

We've heard good things about the diesel heaters, but haven't done much research about them yet. That is another viable option. Thanks for your tip. 🙂

We just picked up our Bend Teardrop this past weekend and stayed in two RV parks, Big Pines RV Park and Burns RV Park on the drive home. We can’t wait to take it out again and do some boondocking.

Highway to Hoeftland, great video. spectacular views. im still waiting on my Hiker Camper! i am ready to do some end of year camping up north in Michigan. also, i have a Jackery 300 and i love it. it costs 300 dollars but got mine on Prime Days through Amazon for 219. i was thinking of going bigger and getting the Jackery1000 but after using the 300 i'll hold off and see how that does with my camper.

Hi Todd, We're glad the Jackery 300 works well for you. What kinds of things can you power with the 300? We're trying to decide if we should get the Jackery 1000, or something similar. Hopefully your Hiker Camper will be ready soon! Camping in Michigan sounds nice. We would like to make it out there someday.

When you sat "average cooler" do you mean like a cheap Igloo or the like, or are you talking about other high performance coolers like the RTIC
@HighwaytoHoeftland
Жыл бұрын
Hi Jerry, the RTIC is the most expensive cooler we've purchased at $200. All our other coolers were pretty cheap. It is better than our older, cheaper coolers overall.
