I have installed 13x120 Fans on Lian Li 011D EVO
I thought to add extra 3x120 fans on side at my Lian Li 011D EVO to check if this can make better cooling for my CPU 14900k and my GPU
First i had to think what it is better position for new fans for balance airflow.
Intake or Exhaust?
Before set up was:
TOP 3x120 Fans (Radiator) Exhaust (CPU sensor)
BACK 1x120 Fan Exhaust (CPU sensor)
FRONT 3x120 Fans Intake (System sensor)
BOTTOM 3x120 Fans Intake (PCEX16 Sensor)
Airflow must be balanced when PC doing hard jobs like gaming, rendering, compressing and anything needs CPU or GPU power.
So i don't need so much airflow balance when PC is idle or usage is like office needs or browsing.
When CPU and GPU needs power airflow changes because fans max the rpm.
After some thought i decided fans setup must be:
TOP FANS (RADIATOR)
OFFICE 800 - 1100 RPM | GAMING 1100 - 2100 RPM Exhaust
BACK FAN
OFFICE 800 - 1100 RPM | GAMING 1100 - 2100 RPM Exhaust
FRONT FANS
OFFICE 800 - 900 RPM | GAMING 900 - 1100 RPM Intake
BOTTOM FANS
OFFICE 800 - 950 RPM | GAMING 950 - 1150 RPM Intake
SIDE FANS
OFFICE 700 - 850 RPM | GAMING 900 - 1100 RPM Intake
After short test i noticed that the fans are much quieter at low and medium temperatures but also some differnce on high temps.
OFFICE USAGE 2 to 5 °C lower temps
GAMING USAGE 2 to 7 °C lower temps
