Hi. I know a Persian person and every time I say hi I put my hand up as if waving but I don't move my hand and say good morning or good night. He seems to always be upset when I do that. So I stopped. What is the proper body language when a man says hi to another man that is Persian ? And if he is mad at me, do Persian men always stay mad ?? I say that because he once said hi but I did not see him until he was walking away. So is it me putting my arm up to say hi or is it that he is still mad from the one time I did not see him when he said hi ??

سلام خانم. اطلاع خیلی مفید است. Body language , gesture , Facial expressions را در فارسی چه می گویند؟

Many of these are the same with Turkish culture but the last one with fingers together means tasty (food) and we didn't have thumbs up before American influence.

This made my day and the rest of the week. Thanks Pontia jan. In our local taarof we say "Angel's don't have backs" when someone apologizes for sitting or staying with the back towards you. The last gesture with the pinched fingers is also very common over here, inherited from Italian immigrants, and of course means what?/wtaf?/seriously?/what's wrong with you?/etc🤌Americans find it very funny 😁

Well that comment just make my week! Thank you! I love how you say "angels don't have back." How beautiful! Yes, those last gestures always remind me of Italy 😁

Exactly the same gestures in Greece. Apart from the thumbs up-middle finger one. The no expression with the face is stunningly the same.
