(similar thumbnail and ending subject matter and tones through out) To really cement this series to this channel! if you missed my community post, Ive now committed to WEEKLY uploads! This is a big step for my work ethic and this channel as a whole, and I appreciate every so much for being on this journey with me! Here's to 100K and beyond this year! P.S I know I messed up with the archeops base stat total fact I literally have no idea how that slid through i proof watched this vid so many times lmao i always miss something sorry about that everyone!

Funny enough, I was actually the little kid on the Battle Dome play set way back in the day and can confirm that the shiny Kingdra was apart of the original concept. The battle dome you showed was very similar to the one I used when shooting the pictures but they took off some of the parts for different photos. To be honest (as a HUGE Pokemon fan growing up) I did notice the “discolored” Kingdra but most of the toys/props they used were cheaply made as they were cropping most of them out or photo editing something else in (an example being that the cannon I am “holding” on the box was actually not there I had to pretend I was holding it for hours hahaha). They just used the toys as references so I am guessing that they just did not care if they were accurate or not. Still cool to see that a toy I modeled for is in your video hahaha

I pre-ordered the Japanese version of Soul Silver, and had negotiated a trade with a random KZitemr who had 8 legitimate Movie Arceus he obtained from trading on a JP forum with Google Translate, which I gave some shiny stuff for 2 of them, as well as the Shiny Movie Pichu that unlocked the spiky ear Pichu, and got to do both those in game events. The awesome thing is, the JP Pokemon unlock the events in other region's copies of the game, so I got to trade them around to my friends when the English version came out and let them do the events.

Thank you so much for bringing up the Pokemon Combat Figures. I've held onto my figures over the years, but I've never been able to search for more since I'd forgotten what they were called. I currently have a Nidorino, Graveler, Blastoise, Venasaur, and Charizard (albeit with a missing wing), and used to have an Articuno figure before I gave it away. I've always loved those figures since they were so much bigger than the Tomy figures I had in my collection. Maybe one of these days I'll see how much they go for so I could purchase a few more of them. I also still have My Pokemon Ranch on my Wii, and it still works, so maybe one of these days I'll see if I can get some footage of some of the other in-game events that no one else shared online. Thank you for sharing this video, I really enjoyed seeing all of the old footage and learning all of these cool facts. I also really wish I went to the Pokemon Center in NYC before it changed into Nintendo World. I first went to Nintendo World during my high school years, which was shortly after the Pokemon Center's final year. I live pretty close to New York too, but back then middle school aged me didn't know where exactly the Pokemon Center was and how to convince my parents to take me, lol.

If you're actually confused about why shiny pokemon aren't really acknowledged outside of the games, there's actually a pretty simple reason for it. Pokémon is an IP that has 3 different companies involved in its ownership. The Pokémon Company handles all Japanese distribution and publication for merchandise, console games, and other media. Nintendo handles worldwide distribution for console games as a partner with TPC's international group. GameFreak is just the developer for the mainline series of games, with a partial ownership of the IP in that respect. The concept of shiny pokémon comes from an urban legend from the first games. Later games incorporated that urban legend in a way that changed nothing but gave everyone a cute little unique sprite. But, because everything about the concept comes from what was essentially a bug turned into a feature of the games, this doesn't really fit into any actual story element outside of the games. It's similar to how Waluigi is commonly not featured in mainline Mario games because he was created out-of-house in a spin-off character and isn't an "original" Mario character.

“Fire is resistant to ice which makes perfect sense” Alright, I’m going to have to disagree here. I’ve always been an advocate for fire being WEAK to ice. Though this may seem nonsensical at first, I feel like this would be more scientifically accurate. Fire type Pokémon surely have higher body temperatures than other Pokémon. They’re used to hotter weather; they thrive in heat. Therefore, comfortable temperatures for them would be hot for us. Why wouldn’t this work the other way around? Normal temperatures for us should feel cold for them. So how about temperatures that are cold to us? It simply makes sense Fire types wouldn’t be able to stand the cold. Therefore, fire should be weak to ice.
@RogueT-Rex8468

Not sure how well known this is or if it has already been covered before, but I encountered a fairly interesting interaction with ditto in scarlet and violet that I couldn't find anywhere else. If you enter a battle with a wild ditto and kill/capture it, it'll drop ditto goo as it's material, just like any other pokemon. However, if you allow it to transform into your pokemon first, it will instead drop the respective material of YOUR pokemon. Killing the ditto using the Let's Go mechanic does not provide the material of the pokemon it's already disguised as. Just thought that was kinda neat.

The canon pronunciation of rayquaza is actually closer to "rayquayza" than the way you're pronouncing it. It's not "ray qwah zuh" it's "ray qway zuh". It's the way they pronounce it in the deoxys movie. It's supposed to be a portmanteau of "ray" and "quazar" like, the type of astronomical object

fun thing to add onto the charizard is weak to ice in gen 1 fact. In gen one, the text "it's super effective" showed if a pokemon of a certain type was weak to an attack. For example, if you used thunderbolt or another electric move on a zapdos, the game would say it was super effective even when it was neutral damage taken. also in pokemon heart gold and soul silver there is a bit of glitched collision in the underground area of goldenrod city in front of the market area (where you battle team rocket underground, in front of that locked door) where your character can go into the wall for two tiles.

Shiny Manaphy is another super rare shiny. Basically, Manaphy eggs are shiny locked, they do not hatch shiny, if a shiny Manaphy were to hatch, the game re-rolls its IVs. The thing is that due to how eggs function, the pokemon inside it has the OT values from whoever got it, but these values change upon hatching, after the animation. So if you were to take a Manaphy egg, look at the IVs inside it, and then trade it to a game where those IVs would be shiny, it'd hatch normal, then the OT values change, and it'd turn shiny.

5:35 in pokemon stadium 2 i learned that charizard could not handle ice verry well cuz its a fire/flying type pokemon. Flying type is weak against ice 🤔 But i noticed indeed different in some other games but never questioned it lol

When mountain dew LimeWire first came out they would drive to schools in the mountain dew truck and if you were lucky like me. You'd also get a LimeWire Electabuzz ;3 he's so rare only a few kids got him.
