I cant avoid it either! We're financially secure, yet I hate throwing food away. I just picture dollars going in the trash.

Frugal can explain many of these behaviors. I’m frugal but didn’t grow up poor! I’m consciences about money management.

Yep, you bring up an awesome point. Growing up poor teaches many of us how to be frugal, because it was necessary. But like everything in life, that isn't the only way to learn something. I appreciate that you are money conscious. Most of my videos and what I write about are about being smart with money....if you like that stuff then please subscribe and checkout dadisFIRE.com/ Im doing this for free and not to make money (actually Im losing money doing this, but Im trying to be helpful).

I am 'guilty' of most of these. True, we weren't well off when I was young, but nowadays I can buy plenty of anything I want -but I still won't splurge. Some of the things I can afford now are bordering on over-indulgence, and some are just 'being a responsible adult'. I don't need new clothes every week/month (but maybe once in a year) - buying used 'anything' can go a long way to stop adding things to the landfill. Oh, and yes, I get satisfaction in scoring a good deal whenever possible. And much of what is modern is overkill - do I need a car that tells me there's another car beside me, or has a pop-up screen to tell me which is north... mine is 20 years old, and the only luxury is keyless entry. So, most of my choices are common sense. Thanks for the video!

I can 100% relate to what you are saying, except my car is "only" 8 years old. Thanks for sharing your story!

Good points, but most of these are just different ways of saying the same thing.

Interesting take. You've connected the behaviors and realized the theme... Thats an impressive skill. Thanks for watching, hopefully you subscribe to the channel! I'm just getting started on here.
