The events that preceded #13 make it even worse for the Bengals... Burfict had intercepted a Landry Jones pass fairly deep in Steelers territory with under 2 minutes left, and the Bengals had the chance to run it a few times to either set up an easy FG to go up by 4, or get a 1st down and run out the clock. But Jeremy Hill fumbled the ball, and the Steelers recovered to set up the final drive. A drive where, incidentally, Roethlisberger came back in after being carted off (due to an injury that also _happened_ to involve Burfict) under a hail of trash and beer thrown by Bengals fans. Giants have had 3 humiliating losses to eagles. Brian Westbrook punt return TD in 2003 and Jackson’s walk off in 2010, in addition to the fumble

Miracle at the Meadowlands was the worst of them all. All the Giants had to do was kneel and run out the clock to win.

Week 16 of the 2016. The Chargers are playing the winless browns and the Chargers blow two field goals in the 4th quarter to lose 17-20. That was a very sad day.

I'm surprised this one didn't make it... 2012 Week 4(?) Lions @ Titans Detroit scores 2 TD'S in the waning seconds of regulation to force OT. Titans win the coin toss, take their opening drive down field to score a FG. Lions get the ball, drives down to the 10(?) yard line. On 4th & 1, QB Shaun Hill (Matt Stafford was injured in the game) was under center. C Dominic Raiola snaps the ball, much to the chagrin of Hill. It's a fumble, Lions recover, but recover it short of the 1st down marker. Sticks come out to measure, ball is short, game over

Regarding #8, nah, the 1999 NFC Championship was way worse. At least Blair Walsh's missed kick wasn't after one of the best seasons in NFL history OR with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The #1 is much appreciated though :D

You should check out the Chiefs vs Falcons game week 13 of the 2016 season. Falcons take a 1 point lead with less than 5 minutes left so they went for 2 in attempt to make it a 3 point game. The 2 point conversion got picked off by Eric Berry for 2 the other way, giving the Chiefs the 1 point lead instead. The Falcons never got the ball back.

Surprised the Oilers wild card meltdown against the Bills in 1993/93 season wasn't included. They blew a 32 point lead and lost in overtime 41-38. The Oiler's owner didn't bother to tell the Defensive Coach he was fired. Instead, the Coach's belongings were tossed into a cardboard box and placed outside. The Bills went on to be clobbered by the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. The Oilers went on to become the Titans.
