Shalom in Hebrew often means peace, but the root also means whole or complete. Thus, a refuah shlehma means not a "peaceful" recovery" but a _complete_ recovery.

I'm apprehensive about all the new Yiddish pronouns we're going to have to learn to cover the many, many new genders that seem to be popping up these days.
