Status. I had a dream a couple of weeks ago, in it was one of my dearest friends and mentors, teh departed Pulitzer Prize nominated Carlene Hatcher Polite. I was her TA and friend for a decade. In the dream we were talking and she explained to me that we are all embodied to a singular word, that represents our self, identity, goals, etc.. Sometimes it's good, bad, neutral how we manifest that. Everybody has their own word but there aren't that many words. My word is/has always been Freedom. My purpose is my writing (books), the hundreds I've published with more to come and education---teaching---I want to educate people in useful, valuable ways in my fiction and non-fiction work and in teh things I've done professionally. I was just watching Jordan Peterson and he gave me a nugget that I've done before but need to re-do---the more we do, the more meaningful our lives are---so now I need to go find something new to volunteer do, give, etc.. Ironically I focus on generating what for me is wealth but being quiet about it---I have a local TV show but I'm not interested in fame. I'm "known" but careful to nurture my reputation and I systematically shift/eliminate non-healthy relationships. What saddens me most about these past months of 2020 is I miss going to the professional networking and chamber of commerce meetings, conferences, classes, workshops---but it will come back. I routinely buy tickets to things like the NYPD XMas party and other events to meet and socialize with new people. I go to wine tastings, though I'm not a big wine guy, to learn about it, to grow, to meet new people. I have my North Star people, living and not, and I focus on their tasks, advice, not just material stuff. I've got another 50 years---and I'm planning out each year to do this, that, more, different, new projects so that I'll be able to turn around at the end and look at a life well used.

All of my relatives are self-made. We have a family motto on both of my parent’s sides: our own success comes from hard work, diligence and discipline. I’ll never argue nor will I make excuses for not being self-made like them because they had so much less than me. From Vietnamese war-torn refugees to working their way up to build their fortunes. To me, they living proof that everyone has the capacity to make it.

Could I make a video suggestion? Your channel has very valuable content with very valuable information. Sometimes is very difficult to absorb all the information in 15 minutes and I find it a shame that in the next week none of this will be left. Thats why I would suggest to make a video to absorb your material in the best way possible. Maybe you could involve the overall process of becoming a wiser person and learning more stuff effectively. Maybe you wont even read this comment, let alone take in my suggestion. But I will always enjoy and grow from your content either ways. Just wanted to take the time to write you guys and appreciate your amazing work you do. I have watched your early videos as well and it is very inspiring the progress you have made for yourself. 'I wish someday some billionaire philanthropist could use one of his billions to building a school for the treating of failures. He could not put his money on a better use'~ Theron Q. DURON... You want to succeed? Then please realise that all the difficulties you go through in order to succeed is the 'PROCESS' that the universe has designed to refine you from clay to burnished gold. True success is internal. The success is already complete on the inside before it is ever seen on the outside. The person you become in the process of becoming successful is priceless. Toughen up. Endure hardness and hardship. As a boxer we jog for hours till we are very tired. Then every single step after that is the true gain cause by then we are ready to collapse. That's why we say...no pain...no gain.

Nobody is self-made, they must have other people look out for them, help them learn and grow, and work on their behalf so they can help achieve their dreams in business, ministry, and any other area of life. Certainly, in order to go further than most, one must have some individual drive that is above and beyond the drive displayed by the average man or woman. Even this power is not of his / her own doing, rather it is a gift from the maker of Heaven and Earth endowed upon the person. The unbeliever with the highest IQ ever (who was the considered by man to be the foremost expert in science, philosophy, and many other fields) told the LORD whom he claimed did not exist that if he did exist he could make a better human being than He ever made. To prove his point, even without hearing anything from the LORD at that time, he collected materials from which to start construction of the better human being. After he finished collecting them, he felt a voice inside him say, "Creation and not construction, if you're so smart create your own materials!" Unfortunately, he still refused to believe in Almighty God though he was never able to create or construct a better human being.

Status. Status is bullshit. Every status seeker I've ever met are self absorbed, small minded, self-deluded narcissists who persue the APPEARANCE (or Image) of a given socio-economic level of attainment far more than the reality. Lazy. Liars. Envious. Straight poison. My step mother was all about status...she innoculated me against appearance. Thank you, Alux

I want to create an art brand that is audacious and sticks to its core values and doesn’t sell out. My truest desire is to be so intimidating that Disney tries to subsume my company. That’s my marker for success, because if Disney wants to buy my IPs then I’ve either already reached that level of notoriety or I’m about to reach that level of notoriety. I’m on my way
