Photographing during preparation is excellent advice -- even moreso for an inexperienced or rusty photographer. The companion advice may be to keep shooting after "the shot" has been captured; at which point the subject may release tensions or pretences.

Great advice! During the filming of this vid Harry actually mentioned something similiar but warned after the shoot sometimes subjects may have mentally checked out. But that can also make some good images!

How do you not get thrown out of a laundrette for trying that? Any time someone sees a camera on me I get treated like I’m a) terrible and b) someone must be paying me loads and therefore they want some

Again, really interesting to get the insight on how you create but also a little view of the person you are photographing. Thank you
