My concern is whether it will seal properly with the under swipe . so i will try youre technique and hope for the best

Hi Kathy! I saw your ordered and already cut it. I'll be shipping it shortly :) If you use them on a wooden canvas then it's way easier to peel off and reuse. Just take your time and peel back slowly. I use the Michaels canvases so I can teach people how to fix issues that arise with them. Some people have been able to peel them off unharmed but some not. I hope this helps or makes sense LOL Thank you SO much for your purchase and for watching my video!! I hope you have a blast creating yours!!! :)

Unbelievable!!!! Your work is amazing. I want to do one for my son and daughter-in-law, I know I can handle the right side, but the left takes a lot of knowing how to actually paint a scene with paint brushes and getting everything to blend. You make it look so easy, but you are blessed with a great talent. Will you resin over this? If so, how long will you wait?
@CraftyJenn
4 жыл бұрын
Awe thank you SO much Sally!!! I know you can do it!! At least with acrylic paint just let it dry and paint over if you don't like something (for the negative side). I use lots of acrylic paint which makes it easier to blend LOL I will probably resin this one as I love it! I will need to do at least three coats of Liquitex Gloss Varnish: amzn.to/2Rr7QE2 first before I resin so it'll take a few weeks for sure. Thank you SO much for watching ;)

Beautiful!! What a talent and a joy to watch. There's a trick I use when I paint my house walls two tones, and I wonder if you could use it here. Skip the first vinyl. Do your initial swipe on the right side & let it dry. Then put on the second vinyl over the swiped area to protect it. On the left: paint the edge of the vinyl with your white swipe color to seal the crisp edge, and dry. Now, you're free to paint the left side freely w/o worries! 🌷

...sorry cont. One of the most expensive Hawaii. I'd Really like to try some of these Painting methods that involve Things like silicone oil and pouring mixtute ( is that also referred to as glue?). I just don't really know how plus the more videos I watch just have more terms and I get more confused, (getting old will do that to ya!) . I'd like to try and find some of the more inexpensive ways to to just get started...can I just try some silicone oil and a blow dryer? Maybe a torch lighter and the rotating plate out of my microwave?!? Hey you might think I'm joking but really I would love to know if any of these things would work because I don't have any spare change. I don't want people to feel sorry for me but hell, it's Hawaii and I've suffered injuries from Working for 18 years for Xerox, and denied workman's Comp. ( They blamed my disc injuries (3) on my having allergies from a cat I'd had a month...not 18 years as a technician), no SSDI,applied 4 x...denied. I am, however, an Air Force veteran! so I'm lucky really , because thanks to the VA, I am no longer homeless and I'm in a new place and now I would really like to paint again. I am So inspired by you and several other artists here on KZitem, that even some of my pencil sketches are coming out better. So, If anyone has some tips ( for instance, older xerox machines had silicone oil in bottles that had to be added to the fusers). Gee, I wonder if Some of those bottles are still sitting around in closets...? Seriously!, You should see what I can Do with a roll of staple stitcher wire...I'm not even kidding!!! My Thanks to all of those people like you who so unselfishly share their enormous talent and expertise with all the world here on KZitem. You make this planet a better place! Please recycle!

I was watching AB Creative and she gave a shout out to your channel... so I tracked you down and have been watching your videos. I really like the way you talk your way through your art.. making on the spot decisions which have turned out to be the best decision. The Seahorse so far is my favorite... but no complaints about any of your art. You’re very calming to watch. You do giggle/laugh quite a bit at times, which can be annoying but it’s all good 😌, I’ll get over it. Hello Jenn, I'm from Germany and think your pictures are great! Now my question, are the vinyl silhouettes reusable? Greetings Petra
@CraftyJenn
4 жыл бұрын
Awe thank you SO much :) Well it depends, I've had success peeling them off just fine from wood canvases but on cheaper canvases or if you go to fast you can rip them. As you can see in this video the positive side I was able to peel off no prob and I can reuse it but not the negative side one as I ripped it. If you're just looking to try out this technique then I'd say the pre-cuts are a great way to go before investing in a cutting machine ;) I hope this helps and thank you for watching ;)
