Another vote for more of these longer term, more in-depth forecasts. I feel the usual forecasts are so consolidated and have to appeal to the masses who need more certainty and less detail, but there are plenty who understand a bit about the weather and really enjoy hearing from the Met Office directly on more detail. Alex Deakin is also a great presenter!

It still doesn't zoom in enough to see what will be happening where someone lives. It's frustratingly general, unlike, for instance POW Ponder on Weather, or Ryan Hall, Y'all, in the US, where there is a lively competition for presenting the most useful videos.

@Met Office what are your opinions on the subtropical system near Atlantic Canada right now? The National Hurricane Centre are only giving a 0% chance of formation, yet literally everyone is saying it is already a subtropical storm with 65mph winds sustained.

Very much the much greater detail in these presentations. Most people probably quite happy with knowing WHAT the weather is likely to do, but plenty of us appreciate a WHY of what the weather is doing!

These in-depth forecasts with the rational and explanations are excellent and I really enjoy them. The uncertainties are also very well demonstrated and explained. I do realise that the work that goes into a 20 minute plus in-depth forecast takes considerable effort as despite the uncertainties, a thread of some sort does need to be strung through the presentation.

I found the video very interesting and informative and easy to understand. I just hope the snow keeps away from the southeast this week and hopefully the temperature should turn milder after the weekend as we progress through next week.
