I'm an ESTJ and I think the trilogy are beautiful movies, my least favorite part (spoiler) was when Frodo turns evil at Mount Doom and the ring falls in basically by accident because of Gollum.
@pizzaparker7424

@@sarahberknerthat's to show the power the ring has on people. Frodo had the weakness of being tempted to use the ring throughout the entire trilogy, and then he was right in the land where it was forged, close to its master. If it weren't for Gollum's greed Frodo would have failed just like Isildur at the beginning of Fellowship. It would be uninteresting and unrealistic (within the fantasy rules of the story itself) if Frodo simply went over there and threw the ring away with no side effects. He lost a finger, but at least he didn't lose his sanity and his friends' trust.

@@benjaminwellington8297 you're fighting another force user, so it would be a battle of skill and will, just as with light sabers. It just wouldn't look good on film. That said, if you could use telekinesis, why not use 10 light sabers flying around, not one? I mean, other than that Lucas got his ideas from samurai movies. BTW in 1543 a Portguese ship ran aground on Tanegashima Island in Japan. The Portuguese introduced the locals to primitive firearms. The Samurai quickly set up production facilities for guns (which they called tanegashima) and changed their warfare tactics massively. They knew a good idea when they saw it. Samurai one-on-one duels with swords, dummy swords, etc. remained for centuries. But in actual warfare, the Samurai acted as field marshals, formulating strategy and directing soldiers with guns, longbows, spears, horses, etc. Presumably the Jedi would do the same, with whatever technology and skills they had access to, even if they did enjoy an occasional duel with a Sith.

As an INTJ, and relatively big Star Wars fan (although I prefer Star Trek), Senator Palpatine is one of my favourite villains, especially if you add in the books as well. The way he politically maneuvered, caused and indirectly lead both sides of a galactic civil war, using it to purge his greatest threat, the Jedi, and create the perfect climate to establish himself as an authoritarian leader is really quite impressive. It’s also believable (unlike some other vilains evil plans), and frankly it’s one way I explain to my less critical friends the dangers of a government that can grant itself “temporary” emergency powers, as there is nothing more permanent that temporary government measures. The prequels are also a goldmine of iconic lines, impressive fighting choreographies, and an impactful soundtrack, all combined into one.

Regarding the lack of email, they do have the ability to send communications across the galaxy (hologram messages and calls are common). The Empire likely controls most of the communication buoys, and is actively searching for Rebel hotspots. It would also make sense that the Rebel base would be "off-the-grid" to make it harder for the Empire to find them, and if the Death Star plans were transmitted there would likely be a risk of interception, tracking, or distortion of the message by the Empire.

Although I don't know how you would include the standalone movies in both cases, probably not at all and leave them for the second - then chronological - viewing or the TV show deep dive: I, II, Clone Wars, III, Rebels, Andor, Rogue One, IV, V, VI, Mandalorian/Boba Fett, Ahsoka, VII, VIII, IX (I know this list is incomplete and might contain errors). And no, we're not done. More movies (and shows) are supposed to happen in the near future.

Sometime when I watch a film by myself I had to pause it cuz I was having thoughts of how the plot going to go or theorising it from what the film already showing, but then I got distracted by something else in this "mid movie pause" that I accidentally forgot to finish the film... - ENFP IT DOESNT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME... but yk... My brain goes 1000 km/h, it means the media is simulating for me and not boring lmao

The thing that always bugged me about Star Wars was that it claims to be _a long, long time ago_ in a galaxy far, far away. If they'd left the first part out I'd accept it but this raises many questions, most concerningly: A) How are there humans there if humans hadn't discovered space travel yet? Did the same species just evolve completely separately in _two different galaxies?_ B) if it was a long, long time ago, how is the tech more advanced than it is now? Was there some kind of cataclysm between then and now that sent everything back to the dark ages? I do like the original trilogy (my feelings on the prequels and sequels are very mixed), but I have to ignore that part or else it keeps me awake at night. Now I kind of want to go back and watch them again, if only for the music. I'd forgotten how good it was.

Great episode as always. I have watched every single one of your episodes as I presume the same for the majority of your viewers. All of your video's are amazing and I love them so much! Please keep posting more! According to the Myer Briggs test online a year ago I was an ENFJ and this year I am an ENFP. I relate to both to quite an extent and I've watched one of your video's where you talk about properly assigning a letter from each catergory but I'm too indecisive with the methods. Is there an easier way to determine what catergory we are in and if so do you mind telling us? Of course if it is convinent to you and only if you want to of course. Speaking of convinence it is so great that you are able to post video's of such high quality every few days/weeks consistantly whilst competing with your everyday life! Your social life, work life, your channel and so many more things that are part of your life? How do you balance it all? You are amazing, oh and happy 4th of May from three days ago! Thank you and I hope you have a nice day!

The very nature of hyperspace is that of any multiverse where there is at least one other universe layered onto our own just ever so slightly out of sync. So it wouldn’t be a question of possibility but rather practicality. Does the risk outweigh the reward. And how advanced would our technology have to be in order the achieve this improbable feat?

INTP here. While I love Star Wars, I've been irritated since I was a kid with things like light speed somehow getting them across the galaxy in a day or being able to hear weapons and explosions through the vacuum of space Imagine how different star wars were feel if there was any effort to try and match the realities of space. It'd have a VERY different feel

Physics and "Star Wars" don't mix. The MULTITUDE of inconsistencies in the franchise regarding how things operate is STAGGERING... but it's also a lot of fun, so there's that. -- INTP EDIT: That said, in an interview, George Lucas DID provide context for that line Solo said about having "made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs"... and I'm satisfied with his explanation of that bit, at least.

Even tough I am an INTJ and most of the time I am able to focus, I didn't make it. After watching 40 minutes of the first movie I almost fell asleep, then my partner [who forced me to watch it] decided that it'd be better if we just do something else, because Star Wars just can't keep my attention. It's rare for me, because I am one of that type of people who watch the whole series in one night if possible. I binge the whole Adventure Time in less than a week.That's how focus I can be. Same goes for books and games, yet Star Wars beat me and my attention spawn...

Fellow Star Wars makes me sleepy movie watcher. There is something too formulaic about them but it could be I've seen hundreds of other movies copy whatever Star Wars did. I unironically liked the second of the newest Star Wars movies the best (the one that everyone hates on because of PePaw Luke being grouchy). I also fall asleep during scary movies and let's plays of horror games - something about the dark sinister music is like a lullaby. - INFJ

Aw.😢 I think I've seen all of those movies, but don't remember that part. It's true, this ENFP's deepest horror is betrayal of trust. I will scream, cry, and likely have nightmares about that. I didn't realize that was a common thing for ENFPs!

I don't agree with the infj, but the intj was spot on!... I personally think that the jedi are a cult, the sith have been surviving for long enough to become radicals, and the storm troopers are the unsung heroes of the galaxy. No matter whom you may be, you serve by protecting, and bringing peace everywhere, including the outer rim. The storm troopers goal was stability. It wasn't managed completely right, but the concept was the lesser evil compared to the republic. The new republic only proved to further harm the peoples. Would love to discuss further, but also don't mean to stur up the toxic fanboys.....

I was pleasantly surprised that the INTP wasn't simply geeking out over "Star Wars". While my own contention with the narrative so far isn't "hyperspace," my argument did begin with a version of: "Did the creators of this franchise really expect us to buy that . . ." No sale here!
