I was about 4 the time this happened, and my dad was in the North Staffs. I remember going to the 16 tanks Nursery, and then Shackleton Primary school. The guys there used to have open days where the kids could sit in all the tanks and there was a huge parade. Awesome times

I love the British Centurion. They were superior in armor and mountain climbing ability to the U.S. M46, M47,M48 and even the M60's. This was proven in Korea by Centurion tanks climbing mountains That U.S. tanks could not match and by Israeli mother's pushing their tank crew sons to get into Centurion brigades rather than Patton brigades due to greater survivability in wars with the Arabs in 1967.

A" Drag" is what British Tank Transporter units (Whats left of them) use to describe going on a detail. ( dragging a trailer behind you)
@scammell9772

Drag was used from the antar days as they only had a low top speed of just over 30mph as it took so long to get any where it dragged on to drive any where so it was shortened to drag it was not used by any other unit or regiment in the British Army
