Alcoholism is a nasty disease,along with drug abuse. They are just a temporary fix, that won’t go away. Get help, talk to someone you can trust, lessen your stress level. The person who is addicted needs to make the choice. So many others care .

Speaking as someone who was in the drug and drink world for 30 years or so, I can say that all you need is willpower to stop the destructive behavoir that is addiction. Willpower to stop buying and using, willpower to stop being used by the drink, drugs and the poeple who profit from selling them, and taxing the selling of them. Once you take the first step toward sobriety you start to realise how foolish you were to let the addiction continue, and the longer you are sober the more you realise what foolishness it is to be an addict. Take that first step, don't falter and never go back. I hope you make it clean and sober - I did.

Well said brother! That's exactly how it is. Hope many addicts read your comment and quit drugs and smoking. Heroin or similar drugs, may take one or 2 difficult weeks, but after Hell, you literally find Paradise!! Kids, DO NOT BE Fools, drugs is worse than suicide, life is so beautiful, to destroy it like that. You also destroy your parents,friends and relatives lives,not only yours, remember that too. NEVER quit quiting.mistakes can be fixed. The earlier you fix them, the better for you.

Both of you are simply dry addicts. Putting the drug or ETOH down is JUST the first step.If it were that easy, then we would not have a proliferation of drug and alcoholism abuse and addiction. Get some education on the topic before you spout our ignorant statements.

As a clean and sober person I respectfully disagree and say it takes a hell of a lot more than simple willpower. Substance abuse is not a weaknessof character, its a disease.
@thakery5720

@@robindumond5523 'Strength of character' is what gave me the willpower - and my experience of overcomming the destructive nature of addiction made me stronger still. Perhaps that is why I don't think of addiction as a disease - it's part of a self-destructive nature sure but my mind was never 'ill' in any way. All I can do is speak from personal experience, I got myself into the situation and I got myself out of it. I am a grown man who takes full responsibility for my actions - I don't blame anyone or anything for getting addicted except myself. I am very self-reliant and was able to identify what the solution to my 'problem' was and just did it.

You might have mentioned Erin Moran. She played "Joanie" on "Happy Days." She was more or less type casted and that led to her turning to booze, pills and whatever to deal with her fading career. She died of throat cancer and it was said that the drugs played a role in that. Another one was Anissa Jones who played "Buffy" on "Family Affair." When the show ended she disliked when people would recognize her on the street and call her Buffy. She got into the wrong crowd and started in on drugs. Brian Keith heard about her problems and was doing a successful show. He called her up and told he had a character in the show and she can have it without even so much as interview. Keith thought it would be best if he get her on the show and watch out and care for her. She turned it down. She died at 18 of a a drugs overdose.

I think KZitem broadcasts have helped a lot of celebrities get addicted to drugs. KZitem broadcasts have done a very, very big thing. They share their personal stories on TV 📺 and because their private lives are widely known, viewers love them, support them, and cheer them on. I think many people have quit drugs and other things because they don't want to disappoint their promises. It seems that many movie stars, singers, and celebrities have quit drugs.

If the creators of this video had watched the documentary Im Heath Ledger (2017) they would have seen that he had no problem with drugs or alcohol, he was an extremely positive and full of energy person, extremely talented for many things, in recent years insomnia appeared that he did not treat, that fateful evening he wanted to get some sleep before shooting a new movie and took a fatal combination of pills

Before these actors make it big, they have a certain level of drug abuse,and what poison they were putting in there body,then bang they hit it big in Hollywood,more money, they can buy anything they want in life, but in my opinion, they enjoy their drugs more,the more money they have,the better quality of substances they can get,its sad because fame,leads to money,and they spiral out of control due to fame, and they own everything a person could want,i really wish I could talk to,or someone with power who would share this information.

Robert Downey Junior is actaully a great drama actor, I remember one of his moves in the 80's ; '' less than zero '' where he played a drug addicted teen and his character died at the end of the movie and he was great! , my point is there are still great old actors today like Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise etc but they are making only f.. action moıvies like marvel stuff .. I mean Ok do that stuff if thats so important for you but man dont forget the audience who are hungry for some serious dramas as well.I dont have any excitement when Tom Cruise jumps off climps. But to see thim to play in a thriller movie like '' eyes wide shut'' or '' the firm '' etc again, that would be interesting.
