Great video. I'd say a 255 section tire is the practical limit for a Fox body (without fender stretching/cutting). 275 can fit in rear with a deeper offset. For SN95, changing to a 99-04 stock or tubular front control arm will give you more turning clearance. Greater than 275 front section width will need stock style or short 8" coilover springs for inside strut clearance. Fender rolling can be done yourself.

I run 17x9.5's with 275/40/17 Falken RT660's on my '96 Mustang. I've been very happy with the setup for both autocross and track use.

Great video. Been a while since I've watched some of your content. Kinda wish you would have given a bit of insight about foxbodies too. I know they have their differences and it's not the platform you have, but a foxbody that the SN95 shares with greatly is the Lincoln Mark VII. Some of the SN95 attributes came from was the Mark VII and later for the 96+ Mustangs was from the Lincoln Mark VIII. Anyhow I've been implementing and running the Cobra setup on my Mark VII for years and have used the 93 Cobra R's(black tri bars),94-95 cobras and Y2K Cobras for a bit recently. All were widened in some for to add some meat out back. All were always wrapped in Michelin PS something. All handles great for street. More recently aiming to go autocrosing. So definitely include your foxbody brothers as we are closer in relation that just one body style. Again great information you've given thus far.

Thanks. I started on Foxbody. I had two but never got serious into the suspension. Did typical mustang person stuff, all engine and no suspension. This SN95 I got to reverse thought, all suspension and no engine. I'll do my best to include the foxes but don't want to lead people astray.

I just picked up a set of 18x9's from American muscle and wrapped them in 275/35 Bridgestone Potenza tires.

Thanks for making this video! Very helpful. I’m running my stock 94/95 tri bar wheels on a toyo HP2 255 wide tire.they work great for open track days but I’m sure there is way better set up. Your video has helped me decide my new set up 👍🏼

I am in tire decision this year, as the wheels I purchased were not squared, used the 275/17 in last year

But if not autocross specific then there are cheaper options
