You are the most disciplined frugal person I know, this is a compliment. A lot of my purchases were for convenience when i was still working and I've just not broken the habit, this brought to my attention that I no longer need the grab and go items and being home now I have time to do things myself. You have such good tips and tricks, common sense, keep them coming.

I wish more people would use their platforms to encourage frugality, and using what you have! I admit I have fallen into it more times than I want to admit - - but, I really am enjoying seeing more creators encourage minimal/multiple-use items and just investing in good stuff. In my humble opinion it's better to eat lots of produce even though is not organic, than not buying it because you can't afford organic and instead buying a lot of processed foods. I think that the processed stuff makes us sick and obese, not the produce with pesticides on them. It's my opinion.

I absolutely agree that buying store brand will save you the most money when it comes to food and household goods. If there is a store brand for food/household goods I will always buy it - many times it is 25%-50% lower than the name brand. I have only encountered a few times where the store brand has let me down in the 13ish years I have been just buying store brand. But do your research in which store has the best store brand for the product you want and that will help ease some “brand name only” kinda people’s experience.

I definitely have times when I cave or really really want to. I think it helps to know your triggers (tired, late night shopping, shopping with a friend who buys whatever they want) and come up with a game plan to stay strong. Also… sometimes it’s good to cave in. We’re not robots, sometimes we just need a bit of freedom. Put freedom money in the budget and when you’re feeling the need, use it without guilt! My biggest trigger is early spring and fall… for some reason I get the spending bug… I need to come up with a little freedom money myself!

I stopped buying sour cream and flavored yogurt. Now I buy a big tub of plain whole milk Greek yogurt and that stuff does everything from topping baked potatoes, baking, making dips,to getting mixed with fruit and honey for breakfast. I found that for me, as a one-member household, it was a waste to get both yogurt and sour cream because I never got through both. So I told myself I could only buy one. And I quickly learned that plain Greek yogurt can do everything sour cream can do but sour cream cannot be breakfast. So yogurt it is. My fridge is less full of plastic tubs and I spend less money.

I buy bulk snacks at sams for my kids and bulk things that we use often (ketchup mayo different noodles rice) toilet paper and paper towels. Once a month for the essentials. Weekly for produce. Keeps me from running to a store every few days. Once whatever is gone its gone til the next big shopping. I don't have time to run to the store everyday nor do i care to. First off, let me just say, love the tips and your humor and positive energy. Consider me subbed. Continuing from that, I personally love my Keurig and its coffee. No issues, and I’ve had it for about 3-4 years now. Keep in mind, everyone’s body is different, and it seems your body just wasn’t used to it or there was an ingredient in it your body was not happy with. It happens. But I’m glad you’re feeling better. I buy a box, maybe two depending on the time of year, and I’m good for the month. But I don’t just use my Keurig for coffee. I also use it to make my tea, instant oatmeal and hot cocoa. Absolute blessing from God since I got it off Amazon’s Black Friday sale. For water, I use a Brita filtered pitcher and drink from my own water bottles from home or even covered Ball mason jars at times if I want to switch things up. And overall, I eat pretty healthy. Even when I order out, it’s just a Subway Veggie Delite. Anything outside that is just a treat. The clothes and gadgets, I can relate to. I haven’t bought new kitchen gadgets in years. Same for clothes, unless I absolutely have to. I still own and wear clothes I’ve had since the 90s and still going strong. As far as the phone goes, I’m definitely thinking of going to Mint Mobile soon. I currently used Straight Talk, and ever since they went Verizon, I have had so many times where my phone has literally crashed and restarted just because the service would drop at random. Sometimes, three times in a row. It’s ridiculous. And I’ve never been a heavy phone user, I barely touch it during the day anyway. Plus, though I’m already pretty frugal, in today’s world, it’s important for all of us to be more mindful and save however we can. it’s been 20 years since I was on a pay-as-you-go phone plan, too, so that’s another option for me if it’s still a thing. And while I am financially stable overall right now, through the grace of God Himself, my emergency savings are another matter. And I’m not going to sit here and say I never mess up, I never overspend at times, cause I definitely do. Not often these days, but it does happen. We all do it. But I’m taking every opportunity to do better, the rest of this month and this year and the years to come. Anywhere that needs improvement I’m going to do it. I’m a Christian and a single woman with Cerebral Palsy and now 40-years-old. And believe me when I say, I wish I was more money wise decades ago. But it’s happening now, that’s what counts. With the right mindset and with God by our side to guide us and provide, the rest of us can do better, too. Yes, this is a tough storm to ride through, but we WILL get through it. My heart and prayers go out to this world, and especially to the families and the sick and homeless and elderly. Seek God and trust in Him always. That goes for all of us, everyday and every moment of our lives. It’s going to be okay. Hang in there, y’all. And God bless you
