Benny was almost disappointed to see Mr G actually write him up. This movie reminds me of high school so much. Under age students lashing out for attention and only receiving punishment. As a father now when my children act out I know that I need to calm myself and asses the situation. Figure out the cause of the anger and help them to understand and de escalate the situation as much as possible while still explaining the consequences of negative actions. Love is stronger than fear. When I was in high school I wasn’t afraid of shit. I hated the world. And when someone threatened me with discipline I lashed out in “I don’t give a fuck mode” because I was so damaged already... this movie is a classic.

This movie was dead on a representation of California schools in the 90s. It was all fun and games until that bell rang at the end of the day.. I remember watching this movie as a kid and thought it was over exaggerated until I reached HS.. Kids getting high at school, taggin..carrying guns, knifes, getting hit with baseball bats by rival gang members after school.. 90s were the best times but shit was definitely getting crazy

@@EddieDuranLLC i would say in the 90s in certain areas, yeah dead on.. I mean the movie did over exaggerate things like always and most of the kids who were doing the stuff portrayed in the movie I wouldn’t have ever expected doing it.. I remember there was this whiteboy in history class. He was a grade under me, (this was in like 05, not the 90s btw) he used to gravitate towards the mexican gangs during school. Kinda like in the movie Lol, I thought he was a straight lame wannabe then a year later after ( I )graduated, he was still in HS. Him and his brother killed a rival gang member in front of a courthouse and got caught… again I wouldn’t have EVER expected that.. but like they say it’s always the people you least expect

LAUSD went really downhill with the creation of "schools within schools"! Now, there is no accountability or even anyone knows who is in charge of what in any LAUSD school.
