Shame you couldn't have just drilled out all the cylinder plugs and the shackle retaining plug, and the plug at the side of where the open end of the shackle is where the locking palls are installed from, and the plug on the front of the lock that holds the core in. The inactive pin in the 6th cylinder might just be a core rotation limiter. It would have been handy to replace all those plugs with grub screws. Or if you wanted to rekey the lock, you could put a full set of evil in there!

Does the steel vs brass pins pick or feel different, or is it only drill resistant? Also, is it only me, or did the playback feel sped up? I checked on my end and had it normal...I dropped the speed to .75 for it to sound and look right.

Hi Bill, can you please lock the focus off on the camera before you start picking, I usually wind up cross eyed 😵 half way through the videos as the camera keeps chasing focus points between the lock and your hand.

Do Abus ever use serrated pins? I had lots of spools, never felt or saw a serrated pin in an Abus. I'm quite new, but Abus is sort of standard in Germany, so you can get lots of them.

When your camera is stationary, auto focus it then switch the focusing to manual. Constant autofocusing changing between the lock and thumb is a bit distracting!

Nice picking, maybe you should get a small dove tail mill bit so that when you mill down the side you can make it a centered slot that can be filled by a thin brass plate and make the lock usable for practice. Have a great day

Good idea, I've got a later model ABUS 83CS/80 with a Phaffenhain keyway that I always wondered if Bill could pick. I'm sure he and a few others could do it justice. I would hate to see it milled off, I'm glad I have keys and a card for it. Good job Bill!
