Thank you, Chad. You take the time to make it very easy to learn. I wish more professors were like you. I have Exam 3 tomorrow on Chapters 18 and 19 and I have been watching your videos. Wish me luck. I have a C at the moment and hope to stay in the game.

I am grateful for you, dear teacher. I am studying at the pre-university level, and we cover topics at such a fast pace that I struggle to comprehend some concepts. Your videos make everything clear for me, all the information falling into place in my head. 🤓

I was terrified of assigning oxidation numbers before this video. These rules are awesome. Thank you so much. Where did you find them? Or did you come up with them yourself?

Hi, Chad, I found that in the new series of chemistry program, chapter 12 seems missing. What's wrong with it? Could you upload it? Thanks a lot for providing such excellent courses.

I could be wrong but I'm guessing Ch. 12 is "Modern Materials" which is not something that most students either need or gets covered in a standard Gen Chem class.

Hey @14:11 wouldn’t H be - since it’s paired with a metal (Na)?
@ChadsPrep
Жыл бұрын
If you look at the rule on the screen it talks about H being +1 except when being bonded to a metal ONLY, and such an example is precisely why that word 'only' is in there. So if we had NaH, then hydrogen would indeed be -1 as hydrogen is paired with a metal only. But in NaHCO3, there are other nonmetals there which is why H will not be -1, but its typical +1 instead. Hope this helps!😊

Are you a professor? Cuz you've got me taking notes on how to win your heart. Jokes aside, are you a professor or a tutor capable of making rockets?
