Those bungalow style houses are always way bigger on the inside than they appear on the outside. I would love to have a fully restored house like that.

What a lovely old house. It looks like it could be restored with enough money. The squatters have made a mess but at least they haven't spray painted graffiti all over everything. Glad to see you and Bekah back. Hope you have been safe and healthy.

This place is really "quaint" . I also felt there was love in that house when it was inhabited, because the house looked like it was "loved" as well because it looked really well looked after "back in the day". I really liked the kitchen table "nook". Could imagine the residents enjoying breakfast there.

You get better and better at these explorations. Thanks for taking us there. I wish I were younger and could fix that place up. I remember back in in the 1990s when everyone was putting that wallpaper border in their houses. Or maybe it was even earlier. Could have been the 80s. I know I was into that look.

Yes that restaurant/diner style table and bench seats in the kitchen were really neat. Old style pane windows, and those old door knobs and locks with the skeleton key holes. That's gotta be early 1900ish. Beautiful custom built home overall.

I was born in 1954 ..... this was a very nice house in days gone by ..... it would have had a porch swing .... very sad..... someone could redo this and turn back time..... probably never will ..... think about this: no fancy building codes back then the house is STILL HERE ....a "new" house built by code would be shambles by now (have seen it)

Jay, there were building codes when this house was built in early 1900's. Consider also craft standards of various trades as well. For example, the brick masons obviously took great pride in their work as did the carpenters. The electricians had to follow codes also, notice the old electrical panel in the kitchen? There were also plumbing codes etc.
@DeeMoback

@@williamkeith8944 my whole family were carpenters all the way back ..... even as a boy I remember many places that we built stuff and there wasn't even a building department..... hell, towns were many times just a general store..... there were no codes that I heard of.....
