How long before some clever dick is going to realise that the emissions from all the extra power stations we're going to need is going to be greater than that put out by internal combustion. 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
@Ben-Rogue

@@09amusement You know not all power plants burn fossil fuels, right? I'm a huge fan of "fuel goes bang", but electric cars are necessary, and the vast majority of land transport could easily be reply with them, with most commuters not caring one bit about what powers their vehicle. I see room for enthusiast internal combustion powered vehicles in this future, unfortunately many politicians don't care about cars and are not ensuring there are exemptions for the tiny fraction of vehicles sold that are enthusiast vehicles

You know the really scary thing about all these cars built around freaking huge engines. (This car, Brutus, the merlin ones). They all have MASSIVE horsepower and 3 or 4 inch wide tyres.

One of the reasons things like this still work is 1 because of the industrial revolution, and 2 because there was no commercial life spanning. Things there days, especially electrical good are built to break, so you have to go out and buy a new one. You will find that things made 100+ years ago, if kept in good condition and haven't bean broken by accident will have a good chance of still being functional. I have had hundreds of things in my life break on me, and I just can't understand with all the technology today, a shredder only lasts 2 years before packing up, whereas my mum has a mixer from the late 80's, and apart from a bit of paint pealing off and a little rust, still works well, and she uses it all the time. You just have to examine things that break today to see how it could have been built better, eg better welding or thicker metal casing and parts!
