There is something relaxing about using a sewing machine at slower speeds. Thanks.

Tell me thats not one of the most satisfying machines to run with hand crank , the 99 hand crank is my most favorite but the 128 and 28 vibrating shuttles just have this musical tick that becomes addicting......great video as always .

The long bobbin machines have a kind of double dip at the bottom of the stroke that gives a completely different sound.

What a beautiful work of Art. So impressive. Such glorious engineering and to see it in pristine condition. Gives me chills, truly. I thought I had every machine I "need" in my sewing room. Now I'm not so sure!

What a beautiful machine. I have a K99 1937. Made just before the reverse button! But I love it. I have a computer singer, but the K99 or 99K, I forget, sews over numerous layers.

I am restoring a Singer treadle machine that was for the Austrian/German market. The bentwood cover is in a poor condition and in pieces, which I am putting back together. The hood has a long pin at one end to fit into a hole on the table. The other end has a small curved piece of metal male part to fit into the table. Unfortunately the female part on the table is long gone. It seems to have been 3cm diameter circle with a rectangle cut out as far as I can tell from the hole in the table and indentations around the hole. Can you tell me how this works as I will have to make the a new piece to fix the hood to the table? I cannot find a serial number anywhere. The Egyptian decals may date it.

I'm not familiar with that type of fastening, perhaps someone else can answer this for you.

OK, thanks. I have had a thorough look at the machine itself and I think that it is probably a fake sitting on a genuine Singer treadmill frame.@@CurioByBSpokeDesigns

I have a singer VS3 1891 and a Singer 28k from 1934, it is odd that they kept making the older machines. My slight difficulty is the older shuttle carriers can cause the thread to snap. Interesting how they developed the carrier (I have found 3 types) by adding an extra finger (this stops the top thread getting snapped in the back of the shuttle) then as you have a singer 28k that has the fully enclosed carrier and the eject button. The warning I will give is always put the needle plate cover overt he shuttle before using the machine... on mine the shuttle jumped up on the return and jammed and bent the carrier. I do like the renovations you do, I just make my machines work and we use them. all the best

I actually like the piano accompaniment. It fits the antique setting where the piano and sewing machine once graced the family parlour.
