I’ve actually got this exact coin and the Jefferson 1938-D both in MS66. That would make a cool vid. 🤓

Great coin. A must for any type collector to have in their collection is a high grade Buff. I REALLY enjoy the brilliant proofs from 36-37. Fraser did well on this one!

Many silver rounds with that design, unfortunately, don't have high relief like the nickel and the gold buffalo. They should have kept that nickel along with the Walker half, two of America's most beautiful coins.

@@bigstacknumismatics4965 I'm sending out a file today, which has one pattern reverse design of the Jefferson nickel in three different metals. It's the last entry.

Thanks for the video señor. I have never gotten into nickels nor pennies. I can't understand their appeal. It seems like owning a graded gold buffalo would be more enjoyable since one can appreciate their details. Maybe it's the fact that they're devoid of silver...Who knows. Anyway, I am glad for you.

Heya lpandy21, great to hear from you. I totally get it, I felt exactly the same way like 5 years ago, lol. For so long as a stacker, all I was interested in was intrinsic value, and it was easy to compute with spot price and premiums. Numismatics, however, is a totally different ball game, and there are plenty of collectors out there willing to shell out big bucks. Condition, rarity, and the current market come into play. I am still a stacker at heart, but I am totally digging trying to get at least one of every type of Amercian coin in the best condition I can afford. Thanks so much for watching!

Just like you I came from the stacking world and progressed into numismatics. At first I couldn’t see any reason to buy copper or nickel coins and stuck to silver numismatic coins. It didn’t take long though for me to start appreciating these coins too though, especially early copper coins which in my opinion just scream history. The huge increase in silver and gold prices definitely sped up this transition

I agree, the early coppers are so intriguing and desirable to me. Also, when spot price and premiums shot up, I took the plunge and got my draped bust dollar, and it was all over for me after that ;P

Hi, Big. Nice Buffalo. I like the high-grade ones. I really like the pastel-toned Buffalos. I am expecting a killer-toned 1913 Type1 in 65 soon. The Fraser design is my fav coin design of all time. I like the Nickels, the silver dollars, and the gold bullion coins. My #1 bucket list coin is a Type 1 proof. I have a 37 brilliant proof and 36 satin proof. Both in 65. I have both bu & proof silver dollars in 69, and all three finishes, bu, proof, and reverse proof in gold. The gold coins are all raw. Rawhide! *WINNING* *TYU*
