Ooh, I always loved this movie! It's so interesting to see the details in how makeup was set back then in Hollywood. One has to take into account that "hoofers" (dancing actresses) back then were _constantly_ dancing, do retakes, revising choreography at a moments notice..all the while under the atomic-like heat of the lighting systems. Yet never even a glistening brow did show (unless it was intended, of course). I think it's wonderful how you bring such insight and relevancy to a much beloved media of old for myself and younger generations. Simply delightful work that you do, Erin. 💗

This is how I do my make up, lotion, face tint cover up, powder then setting spray and it makes me look so gorgeous every time I love it.

This reminds me of my great grandmother so much ♡ in high-school I did Rockabilly style/dress 24/7 and my great grandmother would marvel at my Christmas outfits and victory rolls ♡ we'd share heels and dresses sometime. She was a very stylish woman! Pin curls every night! Till the day she passed.

I learned so much from this! First off; cream everything?! And then powder everything?! And then add dry products? So many layers!! But the end result was gorgeous, I want to try this magic

I love how prepping the face was only 1 step - a slathering of cold cream.
