In the 2001 foreign film, "As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me", a Soviet TT-33 semi-automatic pistol in 7.62x25mm is depicted. It was carried (captured) by a former German Army Wehrmacht soldier who escaped from an NKVD Gulag into the frozen Siberian wilderness. This was after World War II ended in 1945. This German P.O.W. was able to build a warming fire in the forests of Siberia and wore a heavy parka and fur "Rusky" cap. Anyway, this escapee utilized the captured TT-33 Tokarev or Tok to kill a Siberian Fur Seal, for fresh meat. This was probably near Lake Baikal. With his captured knife he was able to skin the carcass of the dispatched fur seal, cut it up for portions, roast it over an open fire, which he ate for survival. This was the only fresh meat and food he could obtain, simply because he had none left. The TT-33 Tokarev certainly didn't let him down either, killing the fur seal with a neck shot. Being a high velocity pistol caliber the 7.62x25 mm has tremendous penetration and is highly lethal! If a handgun, survival knife, and a fire starter is all that is available in a survival situation, they combined will deliver, protect, and provide. Provided of course the person in a survival situation does their part. ---Jim Farmer Klamath County, Oregon.

Immer noch eine gute Waffe mit hoher V 0. Das Kaliber ist 7,62 - nicht 9 mm. Passt auch 7,63 Mauser von C 96

This is more like a Soviet 1911. The 1911 heavily influenced the TT-33 design, it has many of the same features. They are even quite similar on the outside. How anyone could compare this to a Glock is beyond me...

Atlantic firearms would have them probably if you buy a replacement 9mm barrel for a "norinco 213 " pistol . You can shoot 9mm from a tokarev pistol by swapping just a barrel and the ammo it's the same barrel but 9mm.
