This video features a 1947 National guitar amp that I obtained in awful condition and fully restored over a period of several weeks. It utilizes an unusual circuit with Loctal triode pre-amp tubes, dual 6X4 rectifiers, and a transformer-driven pair of push-pull 6V6 output tubes. A detailed before and after comparison is made and the finished amp is subjected to an evaluation of its tone.
