Brings back memories. When I was 8 years old, in 1947, a neighbor friend had a 47 Whizzer Pacemaker. He let me ride it around the school yard. I was hooked forever. I am now 83 years old and ride a 99 Harley Softail Custom. My first Harley was 1942 "45" flat head when I was 14. That was the day of Doodle Bugs, Cushman motor scooters, and Harley had just come out with the Harley 125 2 stroke motorcycle. I have ridden most of them at one time or another.

Dirt Bike magazine did get a CR500 up to 116mph with absurd gearing, and taking off a signifigant amount of the bodywork (front fender, numberplate, radiator shrouds) and a small rider tucked in tight.. The Team Green Baja KX500s had some minor engine work and a unobtanium wider-ratio gearbox to maintain 120mph in the desert.

Harley has come out with an electric bicycle called serial one, probably costs 10 times more than this and can’t possibly sound as good.

Whizzer advertised them to get 120 miles per gallon. Mine does not, much faster. Engine built by the Whizzer guru himself Quenton Gunther. It hauls buns! I have three Whizzers. 😁

I just love 90s two strokes. My era. That 97 with the gold anodized wheels. Gorgeous. That thing would have been on the front cover of Dirt Bike Mag. Or on an advertisement for aftemarket race parts or gear. It's like a flashback I can see it now. You just need the girl with the big hair high heels Oakleys and hot pink bikini on it
