Dude! We drive a 1946 CJ-2A that I was with my parents when they bought it! I don't remember as I was only 3. It has always been a workhorse and today we used it to pull some stumps and it has lots and lots of nicks, scrapes, scratches and blems and we don't try to hide them! It is completely stock, being 6 Volts and has the original engine which I have overhauled a few times in the past 76 years. We noticed your engine compartment did not have a visible horn and that the radiator hose across the top did NOT include the metal tube part! Rubber was scarce and they used not more than they had to. Thanks for sharing and the very best of luck!

The shifter is wrong; it appears the transmission is from an MB or similar. But I do like the fact that they put the ignition switch where it would have been when it came from the factory. This is a twelve-volt conversion (you can see the alternator at 4:43); is someone making aftermarket 12v coils that have the built-in ignition switch?

This is a very nicely restored Jeep however from my understanding the grill and headlights are not correct for a CJ to a since they protrude into the grill are you sure this isn't a cj3a

Nice Jeep, but it looks kind of odd being so shiny. On trip to the trails and it won't be so pristine. Needs a few dents and scratches. Jmho.

2078 miles? You mean 278 miles on an M-38 speedometer which is not period correct for the vehicle, in which you know nothing about . . .

Wrong shifter, to. Probably a gearbox from a different Jeep.

It makes me sick that someone would do something like this to such a classic vehicle. Only so many left and to dump a bunch of shiny paint on it and add the wrong parts, makes me sick. God have mercy on us all.

Dude! When I was three my parents took me with them and they bought a 1946 CJ-2A which I still have and it is a daily driver in the summer. I've left it completely stock with 6 Volts and everything original though I'm rebuilt the engine a couple of times in these past 76 years. I've come across a lot of Jeeps that had been legends, but folks put huge V-8's in them and while they do beautiful work, they have destroyed a legend. Great to come across someone as yourself who appreciates the Jeeps for what they are. Best of luck to all of us!

Always a great idea to restore a classic Jeep Willys than buy a new fake 4 door abomination, but finish it, don't display this half assed effort as a complete restoration, get with it will ya! Jeep On 🇺🇸

You are a liar! There is rust on some lug nuts, on the transmission sticks and on the exhaust manifold. This is not a full restoration. it is restoration ready. The body panels are not straight at all. There are dings and waves on every panel. The pain job is lousy. It looks like it was done in the dirt. The badge on the dash should have been riveted instead of screwed. Done right? You are a liar.

Lots of unoriginal stuff if you know what to look for. Many parts on this Jeep off of other years and models. Pretty common with "restored" Jeeps, Model Ts, Volkswagens, etc.

Period correct color? Perhaps. But not that glossy sh*t back then. These things came in a semi flat finish. This is junk.
@texasamericanpatriot8535

They were not semi flat finished. They were the same finish and quality as any new Harbor Freight tool box sold today. Single stage gloss enamel with a fast hardener. So was the black frame. I like the semi finishes myself, but I don't know why you remember CJs that way, if your 80 years old?
