Hi Teddyboy, thank you for the memories and the great selection of pictures. Thank you for bringing me back to a time of innocence, freedom and optimism (being a Baby Boomer, I lived that era). Peace be with you, Ciao, L (Veteran USA)

Thanks for your great reply, its always good to get feedback like yours, Im also a Baby Boomer but a few years later than you, It was a fantastic era to live in, with all the things a Teenager could want, from the music to the Diners, and not forget all those great looking cars, I have many more videos like this one, i even have life 50s radio playing on one of the videos, but for the Music from the 50s kids today wouldnt have their own music, Peace to you and your family...

@@OldAgeTeddyboy Hi Teddyboy, years later as "younger" or "older" than me - I was born in 1950. You are right we did not have our own music, as not like today but we had a lot of good music on AM stations (without all the commercials). We had Alan Freed, Wolfman, and we could call the local DJ (if local call) with our request. In 1960, my parents got a reel-to-reel recorder and I tape a few songs (in secret). FM had no commercials back then, in 1964, Philips came out with the Compact Cassette format called "The Hip Thing" and we a bit of pocket money, we could get ourselves 45-rpms. May God bless you and your family (yes, we also had "God" back then!). Ciao, L

I was a teenager in the 1950.s in Liverpool it was a fantastic time, music great, girls feminine pretty and dressed well, you could walk the streets at night safely and talk to people without them being worried, unlike the present times, In am glad that I am old with wonderful memories, and don’t have long to live in this terrible environment we live in now

Times do change and not for the good, but we have no power over the government who make these choices we have to live with, even the 60s were a good time, much safer than today, and so many areas have changed and not for the good, its our memories from our past that keeps us going, we lived in an era where we had great music, clean streets and not many cars on the road, and it was safe for kids to play in the street..

I grew up in England as a teenager 1958-65. Quite different to the American life - we left school at 14/16 and started work full time. No cars or telephones, diners, etc but the music was the same!! Loved it and still do at 80 years old. Mostly what I listen to on my streaming music. And I had the added bonus of going to the clubs in Liverpool when the Beatles, Gerry, Searchers were just our local bands!!

Memories, memories, memories.... I was 11 years old when it all started in '54 and what a start it was. My folks weren't really ready for the birth of rock & roll but they just shook their heads and let me do my thing. This old rocker is still kicking.....not as high or as often, but still kicking... I've got a T-shirt that says, "I may be old but I saw all the great bands." Thanks for sharing this one......

@@smith7chris Of all the era`s, we will never see the 50s come back round, and thats a shame, it was a magical time, and to be a teenager going through Rock`n`Roll, a music just for them would have something, to se great artists like Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Connie Francis, Bill Haley and so many more too many to mention, that would have been something, to see them live what a thrill that would have been, and the cars, they didnt get much better than the 50s, its a shame ford doesnt do a concept car from the 50s for others today to own, although you cant get any better than the original, but to make a car with that 50s flair for today, i think it would sell like hot cakes..

@@user-ss2ly1ir6j Its always a risk when making a video like this, you can spend several hours on it, post it and find that the copyright owner wont allow it to be shown, with any luck its only a couple of songs they object to, you can appeal if you think they are wrong, and i have a couple of times and have been allowed to use the songs, cause it can go against you and thats that, with my channel i never make money from it, i dont own the copyright on the music and it would be wrong of me to try, all over KZitem you see a record spinning and hear a song playing, thats boring, thats what gave me the idea, i made the videos and posted them, never thought back then they would be blocked, once they started getting blocked i got to google and did some research, so now i can make the videos and they play..
