At the age of 5 I first saw one of these and fell in love with cars.

A beautiful Studebaker. Convertible is so rare I didn't know they made any. The history on the car is as fascinating as the car 😏

My parents had a '51 Commander sedan in same color. The Stude Converts are rare. By the way,I am originally from So.Bend,so have seen a bizillion of them, as a child, who was born in '49.

I am a 1951 unrestored original and would love to have this fine specimen. It's only 40 miles from me, but light years away from my wallet. (sigh) I noticed it has an electric wiper motor. Weren't they supposed to be vacuum operated?

Convertibles are for we people who have the inside track with the blessings of the Universe. The Universe guides us and keeps us in the forefront of automotive technology and beauty. We also were the first to appreciate and truly love the Jaguar XK-E. This aura flows over into motorcycles with the best candidate being the 1974-75 Moto Guzzi 850 El Dorado California Police Special being the ultimate in beauty and design.

Meant to say the head was removed and a valve job was performed.

The 1953-1955 Studebakers were beautiful but about 40 years ahead of their time. I never liked that first post WWII generation design.
