The pod was also white mums and the school letters were in yellow lavender. On each side of the float were foreign students who were enrolled at the school, each bearing his nation's flag. On the front of the float two doves fluttered over the American Flag to express the thought of peace. The doves were decorated in sweetpeas. On the back of the float behind the tree are seven large, vertically stacked books. The bronze book was the smallest, next to it was taller yellow books, then taller green books, with the tallest book in the middle.
It featured foreign students who were enrolled in the school, six students from six different continents, and one american. Each of the students wore costumes native to their home lands and rode on the float next to a representation of their nation’s flag recreated in flowers. The students were Emilion Conteras; Mexico, Hans Dese; Germany, Pierre Joske; France, Joe Montoyo; Peru, Stephan Yanai; Japan, Sardegh Marvasti; Iran, and Kenny Martin; United States. Ezio Delfino and Art Whetsell drove the float. Ezio’s brother, Aldo Delfino, drove the 1949 float “Rocking Horse” and his other brother, Edio Delfino, drove the 1951 float “College Barn Dance”.
