Great video, I will be starting on mine soon I hope. these videos will be a great help. It would be interesting to know your cleaning and painting techniques. Those parts look spotless. Also what paint you are using. How did you check on the seats for those check valves?
@JPN76
2 жыл бұрын
Sand blast, glass bead blast, wire brush, or a combination of them all. Then prime with self etching primer and spray on some Tisco persian Orange #1 acrylic enamel. The only way I checked the seats was to try and blow backward through the valves with the check ball in them. From the two pumps I managed to get 4 that were very good. Two of the others had flat spots on the check balls. I figured if it will hold air that well it should be great with oil.

If you're working on one of these remember that this pump runs at a lot higher pressure than others so you cant use another manufacturers cylinder or you'll blow the seals out of it.
@JPN76

One day I i might put a gauge on it out of curiosity. But yeah, to operate a cylinder that small, it has to have some serious pressure.

The return spring for the shift plate appears to be new. Do you have a source for that or how did you obtain the spring. I have a Bseries and the spring haas lost its tension so the pump will not return to neutral after raising the mower. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Not to be rude or snide, but please relook at your oil pump video, and check your rotation and vane placement. I hope I am wrong, it looks your vane are in wrong Good video! Glad you got your parts. did you send your block to a machine shop or did you do it yourself ?

I have no idea. Can't find specs on the tractor Hydraulics. They have small diameter rams so probably not a lot compared to modern stuff
