What a neat little crawler tractor thanks for sharing it.

I had one of these given to me by a family friend who was retiring when I was about 12/13. The old chap who'd owned it used it to run pipes across fields for cattle troughs etc (although I don't it was very good at it). To be fair, it wasn't short of power, but it wasn't heavy enough to make the tracks grip. I swapped it for a Vespa scooter when I was 16 (pratt!)

ha ha. OMG its funny how other things appeal to you when you are young. When I see anything tracked it always fascinates me, one of my favorite things to see. at least you didn't swap it for a bag of sweets

I can agree, although my pop had a ransomes like this when I was young, up until when he sold it, I think I was about 14, he used to have me working it everytime I was there (which was most weekends, and some weekdays).. we had home made blade, made out of half a gas cylinder, and a cable lift system that ran from the front, underneath and to a set up at the back that utilised the 3PL to raise and lower the blade.. Some of the best days of my life were spent on that little farm, very vivid memories, I've no doubt that I could walk up, and start one still without any trouble.. we also did vintage machinery shows together with a lot of stationary engines of all sizes, I gained my love of anything mechanical from him, and a lot of my "fix, rather than replace" mentality i owe to him too ! RIP PA !
