Awesome bike ! Didn’t see the vids of the build . But that’s one awesome bike . I was born along time ago . And my friend and his dad where I grew up bought an auction police bike pan head in the mid fifties . I remember Bob the son . If the bike didn’t start within three kicks he immediately would usually clean the points , adjust them and have that bike kick started within two kicks . There was a time when you could go to swap meets and pick up parts readily and cheap . Not anymore . I had bought my last bike new from Harley Davidson. A 2002 Standard Road King . Just sold it a year ago . Decided I was going to get back into riding acouple of weeks back . Ended up buying a new car instead . Even has air conditioning. LOL. And for far less then Harley wants for a new bike these days . I understand here in 2020 Harley Davidson is in a bit of trouble . They need to do what Ford Motor did and mass produce a popular bike that everyone can afford like the 65 Mustang . And is still being built today . Again that is one fine pan head FLH you have there . Good luck and safe riding .

Absolutely gorgeous!!! And I learned something, too, about special factory colors. Just curious: Would you happen to know what the special paint would have cost back in 1955?

i used to kinda call my 1980 flh a double nickel because on the speedos at that time the 55mph was highlighted because of the fuel crisis the govt. made the mandatory max speed. at the power company were i worked some of the trucks actually had a 55 mph governor on them.
