It seems odd that someone buying a Limited would not order factory air conditioning. My mother had a white 1958 Roadmaster, with AC and all the trim. It was changed over to springs but still had the air ride compressor in place. Blue interior. Wonderful car.

It seems about 50/50 on whether a Limited had AC. Those old AC systems were so complicated and HUGE in the late 50's.

Does the shift linkage work OK? It was hard to tell from the video. Does the gas pedal starter still work? I've done several speedometer's in 57s and 58s. I can tell you it's a bear of a job. It seems as if they're all broken.

Yes, shift linkage is fine....I fumbled around with it since I only had one hand to drive LOL. Gas pedal start works fine, too. I've done a few 57-58 speedos....and you're right they're a bit of a monster. I could have this one done in a few hours if needed though.
