I filmed a portion of this documentary which looked at the activities of the Opportunities Industrialization Center (the OIC). The key speaker is Whitney Young, the great civil rights leader and president of the National Urban League. At this time, he was considered “middle-of-the-road” because he was trying to find common ground and was being pushed by the Black power movement and others. I admired him for so articulately holding to his position.
