The wife and I had a '63 that I implanted a 327ci 350hp out of a '66 vet. She was a runner and we still talk about her! Very nice professional job on this one! Thank you for sharing, brought back great memories!

Nice car, though I am not a fan of black. I got a white 1963 Nova SS in 1975, at age 16. It had been my dad's, he bought it in 1973, so it was only 10 years old when he got it. It had a straight six with a powerglide. It had that same big chrome console and floor shifter. It was a four lug car. I replaced the six with a 283, and with help from somebody who knew more about cars than I did at the time, I swapped out the rear end with a 5 lug Posi. Not sure what the ratio was. I put air shocks on it to raise the back, and put Mickey Thompson L60-14 tires on chrome reverse wheels in the rear. I kept the 13" tires in front, but on matching 4 lug chrome wheels. The engine still had the oem exhaust manifolds, I had some header pipes made up that bolted to them, then put glasspack mufflers on those. That was the exhaust system. And it was loud. I owned and worked on that car for more than 12 years. Would love to have another one, but they're just too expensive anymore for anything but a complete pile of junk.

When I was in university in the mid 1980’s I bought a 1963 Acadian Invader sedan for $500. It was a very solid car except for the front fenders. I was able to get a set from a GM dealership in North Bay and had it repainted . I kept it original and put it away in the winter months but life happens, kids, job moving. My dad called a guy from Trout Creek and he towed it away from my parents place where I had parked it.. Would love another one to drive around.

I totally agree,I see so many people swapping in an LS and I can’t help to think it’s blasphemous. It’s like what’s wrong with a gen 1 sbc?? They make very reliable fuel injection that resembles the exact look of a carburetor,so that can’t be the excuse. You can’t tell me that you think an LS make more power cause I can show many examples of gen1 making well north of 700 horsepower N/A. So why would you ruin the look an feel of an old shoe box nova. I inherited my fathers 64 Nova SS and it’s a actual factory SS bucket seat car and so many have tried talking me into putting an LS in it an again I can’t help to think it’s just wrong

And the oiling system on a LS is even more screwed up than the Chevy IIs , what moron thought it was a great idea to put an O Ring that deteriorates in oil on an oil pickup tube ?

Couldn't agree more!! I have a 383 stroker small block with a 4-speed rock crusher in my '62 2DR HT and has more power than a 2500 pound car really needs! Fun, though......😊

Hi Jarrett, 15X6 with 205/65R15 on the front and 15X7 with 4.5 backspace and 215/65R15 on the rear. A bit close on one side on the rear. A 4.75 or 5 inch backspace would be ideal on the rear. Glenn
